I didn't mean for it to be so big. Oops.

I have a lot more favorites (mostly Monet), but I don't feel like searching for them all.

And since we're on the topic of painters, Leonardo should be called Leonardo, instead of Leonardo da Vinci. Vinci is where he was born.

My second favourite painting is by Edvard Munch, too!

So what is Leonardo's last name or doesn't he have one like Jesus or Madonna?

"Starry Night"--Van Gogh

I don't know why I like it so much, but I love it.

"Music at the Tuileries"--Manet

I wrote a 10 page short story about this painting for my English class in college and I fell in love with it.

All his paintings are signed Leonardo. That's what I prefer to call him.

And Starry Night didn't work.

Mmm, twisted.

Suzanne: I never use catalogs. I'd rather go in the store and see all the salespeople groveling and sucking up to you. Julia: Pardon me, I never knew they were so solicitous at the K-Mart.

I love that painting JailyardGuy. I love how it really shows the abstract and grotesqueness of war.

Marc Chagall is my favorite painter. It's hard to choose a single painting, but Bella and The Lovers are very beautiful.

I have a few... I won't list Starry Night, since it's already been mentioned:

re: Your Favourite Work of Art

Persistence of Memory, Salvador Dali

re: Your Favourite Work of Art

Just about anything by Mary Cassatt, particularly this one (Young Mother Sewing).

re: Your Favourite Work of Art

M.C. Escher is another of my favorites, and I especially love this one (Hand With Reflecting Sphere).

...Okay, I'll stop now. I'm just terrible at picking *one* favorite of anything!
