just because i know there's a lot more college football fans out there than nfl fans, i thought we'd have a ncaa thread as well.
as you can tell by my av, my loyalties lie in the horseshoe and i'm hoping that our defense gels fast enough for us to come outta texas with that #1 ranking intact.

I've always enjoyed college football!
My preferences run more toward the small college games, accompanied by a tailgate party.
Though I was a season ticket holder for Ohio State for a few years...
I have tickets for a West Point game in early September. But not sure I'll be able to use them. Anyone interested?

Thanks for starting the thread papa! That OSU-UT game could be very exciting, though I think OSU has the edge. I am counting the days until the season kicks off on Thursday, August 31 for my Northwestern Wildcats.
Most years tend to be rough ones for us, but, with the death of head coach Randy Walker earlier this summer, this year will be rather emotional to boot. I do think that Pat Fitzgerald was the best choice to take the reins.

Posted: 8/7/06 at 11:37amI had Northwestern season tickets one year when I lived in Chicago.....1985 or 86 I think. I remember they beat Indiana for the first time in years, and tore down the goalposts.......was really exciting to be there for that game

Posted: 8/7/06 at 11:40amOk, first let me just say that Michigan is the best!!!!!!! My family has season tickets for the games and every saturday we drive up to Michigan watch the game and drive back home. It's about 8 hours round trip. My dad was also once a manager for the team. I know everybody hates Michigan, though.

I actually like Michigan. When NU won the Big Ten championship two years in a row, including the Rose Bowl season, it took Michigan winning their last game for that to happen. I am still grateful for that.
Papa, unfortunately, I think in the Rose Bowl season it took Michigan beating OSU to make that happen.

Posted: 8/7/06 at 1:04pmThis is what I hate about being a Michigan fan. Everyone hates us, but they like us winning when it works out in their favor.

Posted: 8/7/06 at 1:19pmI don't care what you all say, but I will be dis-owned if I don't cheer for Michigan. I was born in Ann Arbor and I will continue to be a fan for life.
