Well, Cara... Wouldn't you?
xluckystar2107x, although I appreciate what you are trying to do here, I don't think that you've been a poster long enough to truly appreciate and understand the dynamic of the board.
Please do not take offense at that.
I was told in my freshman year of high school that the life of someone in the theatre is "one emotional trainwreck after another", and in many ways, I truly believe that.
If theatre is done correctly, it is a truly powerful medium that can make you be overcome with tears of joy, tears of laughter, and tears of sorrow, all within a couple short hours.
Theatre is a drug.
It makes you feel, in a way that television and movies have much more difficulty achieving.
It is live and raw, and anything can happen.
Theatre is the representation of all the emotional highs and lows of life.
Therefore, I think that theatrical people, being around such emotional, driven material all the time, somehow crave it.
It is not commonly found in nature to have any group of mismatched people being entirely polite and civil to each other 100% of the time.
Add in the anonymity of the internet, which makes people far less likely to censor themselves.
Then consider that those of us on this board all enjoy, on some level, the concept of theatre.
That love of "drama" is not going to stay always connected to things on the stage.
Thespians need to feel strong emotion, because that's what we're used to seeing and experiencing.
Admit it...
This board wouldn't be as fun if there were no cat fights.
As much as people complain one way or another about feuding and name-calling on the board, that's part of its humanity and its beauty.
A play cannot survive without conflict, and neither can this board.
I starred in a short film called
Magnetic Personality. Check it out!
