i might have just gotten my best role so far. today, i was cast as cinderella's prince/the wolf in into the woods. i am so excited!!! as far as worst...ralph herdman in "the best christmas pageant ever." the whole show was so retarded, and on top of that, i had a grand total of 9 lines.

I was raised to be charming, not sincere. - Into the Woods

worst- little red ridinghood in ITW. In another setting I would have loved it but it was the crappiest of productions, and I was 15 and I a, very voluptuous...duct tape was involved. I have scars.

best- the Baroness in Sound of Music. It was just fun to be a b*tch.

WORST: When I played the Turkey in HONK! Now, this is a pretty cool role, but I was upset because I was thirteen at the time and everyone else in the show was eleven or younger, and-- not to be horrible-- I was the best performer there. I picked that production over another one because I'd be the oldest person in this cast and I knew I'd get a lead.

I tried out for the Cat, but a tone-deaf little girl threw a tantrum because she wanted the role, so the director gave a role and explained to me that she knew that since I was older and more mature, I'd be able to handle having a smaller role better than the little girl. It was a bit humiliating, but it taught me a lot about performing.

Best role: The Mad Hatter in "Alice In Wonderland!" Costume, lines, scene partners, blocking, props, everything was outrageously fun! I also had a lot of fun playing Mrs. Darbus in High School Musical... I got to goof off and I didn't have to sing or dance to any of the songs!

Worst- Steward in Into the Woods. The show really isn't fun unless you're one of the main characters. To make it worse, I was cast as Jack, but my part was given away in favor of a local politician's kid. Excuse? No one was officially cast (aside from the congragulatory phone call that I got the part).

Best- Mine was also Horton from Suessical, with the Minstrel from Once Upon a Mattress being a close second (I pride myself in turning that role into a show stealer).

Worst: either Sgt. Towser in Catch-22 or a cheerleader in a 70's-style musical adaptation of Alice in Wonderland, titled "Wonderland!" or a musician/sound effects person in Our Town

Best: Eve in Children of Eden, Annie Sullivan in The Miracle Worker, or a Bird Girl in a high-school-esque version of Seussical.

worst: A maid in Annie. The show ended up being amazing, but it was a boring ensamble even though we were in a bunch of scenes, more so than the other ensambles.

Best: Witch hex in show white and the seven dwarfs. I had over 90 lines, and they were seriously the best in the show. It was SUCH a fun part. Hysterical lines, comic timing... (btw this isnt the lady who sells snow white the apple. we did the original 1912 broadway script, and witch hex was cut out in the movie), but seriously fun part.

A million hearts beat quicker there, a million lights they flicker there. No clouds of grey on that great white way, thats the Broadway Melody!

Belting, I actually loved my stint as the Steward - he gets some funny lines, and my director added in some funny bits (like having me throw out flowers at the wedding before Ever After).

Hmm...my best role in terms of material was probably Goneril in King Lear. My best in terms of performance (and that I felt the most connection to) was Virginia in The Lower Depths.

My worst role was probably a pill-popping, alcoholic mom in a horrible student-written one-act.

Worst: I've had my share of bad roles. A munchkin in The Wizard of Oz, Aggie Wainright ("Al's Girl") in The Grapes of Wrath, and plenty of awful student written and amature playwrite shows.

Best: Ok, I've had some good roles too. Kate/Lilli in Kiss Me, Kate, Audry in Little Shop, Snoopt in Charlie Brown. Lol, but my FAVORTIE was Amy in Little Women!

Worst: A tree in the velveteen rabbit. At least half the cast ,some of who had better parts, were younger than me. We had two lines each and had to stand around moving our arms few minutes. The other trees consisted of annoying younger kids and the director's mentally handicapped daughter. By the end of the run I was completely miserable.

Best: I haven't been in very many things yet, but so far General Cartwright in Guys And Dolls.

Hmmm. I tend to do a lot of plays I'm not crazy about or musicals where I end up in the ensemble. I actually enjoy the times where I get to play a horse's head, 'cos it's a little bit different. :)

My best role was probably the Pied Piper of Hamelin. I had many solos, and my costume was awesome. I have a sneaking suspicion it may even still fit, even though I was a child at the time. XD Either that or Old Sally in Oliver!; dying onstage is always fun. :3

Worst role... yeah, probably the teacher I played in the last play I did. I had to be a timid little mouse in the first act, which required hardly any acting at all, and then I had become a chav by the second act, which didn't endear me to her at all. And another girl had to slap me in act two, but we couldn't make a fake one look at all convincing, and she refused to slap me for reals, so that was all very frustrating.

I really need to get out there and do more stuff!

Hahaha.

Best:hmmm...either Lorraine Sheldon in "The Man Who Came To Dinner" or Sarah in "Translations" (current production, so we'll see.)

Worst: Alma Hix in "The Music Man, Jr." Another bitter experience. Plus, junior shows are just not okay.

Worst: Ensemble in Seussical Jr. There's a funny story that goes with that - I did Seuss Jr. right after playing Captain Shang in Mulan Jr. at a Summer program. I had to miss two hours of an eight hour tech rehearsal due to ANOTHER show I was in. The directors were not too pleased and during Seuss auditions the next day, I made it to callbacks and they sent me back to prepare an audition for The Cat when the director pulled me aside and announced that I would be placed in the ensemble as punishment for missing tech. The guy who got the Cat was tone deaf.

BEST: Funnily enough, possibly The Cat in the Hat in the full version of Seussical...which I did half a year after the disaster listed above.

Special mention goes to playing Robert in Company.
