I HATE boar's head for some reason.
When I get a hoagie/sub/hero (whatever you call it) at my local grocery store, they ask if you want Publix (their brand) or Boar's head...*which is more expensive*
I tried boar's head once...never again.
20 years?
well... i'm 20... and i've never had it before, so yes, 20 years lol
Sorry, I'm confused...is boar's head a brand? I read the heading and thought if it's boars head then surely it's roast pork?
it's a brand
Boar's Head is a very popular brand around here. There are neon Boar's Head signs in many deli windows.
I had actually never heard of it until I was in a Sandwich shop in Little Rock, Arkansas.
They probably have it out here, but I get my deli stuff from Costco. Great Roast Beef and Turkey.
As I have said before, me loves Costco.
Waaa I almost booked their national spot. I didn't have a cartoony enough voice-they asked me to fake one. I guess the woman who booked it had it. She's lucky, that spot's been running for ages!
There were Boar's Head commercials in the south when I lived there, but here it seems like there is that neon sign in every single deli window.
From the otherside of the planet...what is Costco?
Costco is probably the biggest, and most popular warehouse chain in the US. It sells everything from bulk TP to Pizza to Jeans. The prices are usually very good, and the quality is also good. And, they have an amazing return probably.
They even offer theater tickets to some shows in NY, glasses, diamonds, upscale watches . . . it is pretty amazing.
They actually pay their employees a decent wage, have very low turnover, and have amazing customer loyalty.
I could go on forever, but checkout out costco.com and you can see what they offer.
Costco
Costco is a wholesale warehouse. You have to purchase a membership, but you can buy large items and things in bulk and at a sometimes significant discount. They sell electronics, furniture, food, paper goods, cleaning supplies. They sell many things in resale packages for small businesses.

I worship this, really. I would drool watching the hairnetted old ladies cut the meat, but then I'd throw up because- EW- hairnetted old ladies.
Well, the closest Costco to where I grew up was like an hour away and I never had a membership. We had Sam's. I like Costco better.
I first was a member of PriceClub, which them merged with Costco.
I have three witin about 10 miles of my house now!
As a kid, Sam's was always farther away, and I never went. Now, because its relationship to Wal-Mart, I am glad I never went!
