Rath- so it isn't just men who are idiots?

And Addy- I'm almost 20 but I've been doing the long-term thing with this dude since i was 16. And all though highschool I was with SOMEONE. For eight months this summer I was on my own, and I loved it, but I never got over my current guy. We never stopped seeing each other. This time I think we're going to have to, and I'm not quite sure how to cope.
But I know everyone goes through it, and everyone lives to tell of how good it turned out eventually.

JID - you start by taking it one hour at a time. And then a day. And then a week. And it DOES get better... although it's been a LONG time since I've gone down this path, I can promise you it DOES get better.

In the meantime, know that your friends are there for you.

Oh, and in my case, you RUN the next time a man born on June 28th walks into your life:

4 year college relationship - birthday is June 28th.
John #1 (engaged but never married) - birthday is June 28th.
Mark (lived with for 5 years before he died) - birthday was June 28th.
John #2 (and the last guy named John I'll ever be with, also!) - birthday is June 28th.

I kid you not!

Clearly I should stay away from men born under the sign of Cancer...

aww all of this makes me terribly sad and makes me realize that MY horrible, messed me up for months breakup wasnt really that bad. To Quote my english teacher..."LOVE!" that goes out to all of you and your terrible breakups...

p.s. my friends are wonderful. Lucky for me I moved away to university. People here know me as Karen, not David's girlfriend. To them, I will be no different. And I get to meet new people every day!

See, this is all so much easier in my case, when nobody will actually deign to go out with you in the first place. Then, you never have to worry about messy breakups! :)
