She really handled that like a champ. I challenge any other candidate running to go toe to toe with angry activists and not only hold their own, but offer responses thoughtful enough to actually challenge the activists' POV - all without sticking her foot in her mouth or pissing them off. Not one of the Republicans could do it, and was have seen twice that Sanders couldn't either.

Sanders hasn't had the chance to yet, but he is scheduled to meet with Deray McKesson and others later this week. He also hired someone active in the movement as his press secretary.

I found Clinton's reaction wince worthy...but she handled it better than when she's asked about the Keystone pipeline.

I'm really starting to get angry over all this email crap that republicans keep dumping on Clinton. If this is all standard practice, why don't they get Colin Powell"s or Condoleeza Rice's servers and emails. This is just another juicy story for the networks to jump on. The news media coverage is just so much trash these days, Trump praising and Clinton bashing sells more advertising.

The FBI is not a political party or entity. The AG's office is not a political party or entity. Both have open investigations/probes on this.

I agree the email thing is about nothing. And the media's fixation on it is frustrating considering there are so many important issues to talk about. But Clinton needs to find a better way to handle it. Her current strategy is not working.

If Sanders could actually be smart about winning, he would go after her on this. The polls do not lie. We cannot have presidential candidates who are prone to investigations and probes by non-partisan government agencies like the Inspector General's office, the Attorney General's office, and the FBI. You want to talk about corporate corruption, special interest greed and "above the law" snobbery? That's Hillary Clinton.

I appreciate that Sanders is NOT going after her on this. His campaign continues to focus on issues, not sideshow distractions. It's one of the things I admire about him.

Yes, apparently some of Hillary's allies feel the same way. Politico suggests there are parallels to the way Hillary handled the old Whitewater investigation as well. The main criticism being that she's perhaps handling this growing issue (I think it's a bit too soon to call it a crisis) more like a lawyer than like a political candidate.

I actually think she's "handling" it fine. She has learned that people like the Headband and the media and the Hillary-haters are like the Boys Who Cried Wolf. They treat everything she does like it's the Final Straw that will finally, finally, finally, at long last, be her undoing.

Except that it never is because she actually hasn't done anything wrong.

And the people who will ultimately vote for her--women and minorities--know that when someone is being hounded, surviving is character. All she has to do is survive. And if she loses her cool every once in a while, the voters--women and minorities--will still support her, because sometimes we lose our cool too and under the circumstances, who wouldn't? (And isn't it remarkable how she maintains her cool? I couldn't!)

So she will survive all the trumped-up charges, she will survive all the silly Headbands who foam at the mouth about her every move ("Corruption! Greed! Snobbery!", and she will be our next and greatest president.

No president will ever be better than the idea of Abraham f*cking Lincoln because he led the nation in a time before we got to see the ugly innards of the political world. We know exactly whose pockets politicians are in now. We catch their every lie. We know their every indiscretion. People can and do romanticize leaders of the past when we all know history is viewed through rose colored glasses, at best.
