Don't worry, JG. We will have a four-party system by the next presidential election or the one after: the Republicans, the Democrats, the Progressives and the Conservatives.

Joe Biden Meets With Elizabeth Warren Ahead Of Possible Presidential Campaign: Report

"Vice President Joe Biden privately met with Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) in Washington on Saturday amid speculation that he is preparing to launch a campaign for the White House, CNN reported.

The purpose of the meeting is not known, but The New York Times reported on Friday that Biden was reaching out to potential campaign donors. Biden has said that he will make a decision on a run at the end of the summer."

Biden will have to spend the next year changing his image. Right now he is looked upon like he is someone's likable but slightly goofy uncle at a party.

I believe Biden would take more Hilary votes then Bernie.  That would be interesting.  There is a Bernie takes on the media video that's about 5 minutes long, and loving it.

I think that could be an improvement. Sweden's system works well, for the most part. Small parties create alliances and basically run together. The environmental party is very small, but they have a voice because they work directly with the Social Democrats. The Christian Democrats are a small party, but they join with the much larger Moderate party. They all have seats at the table. I certainly prefer being able to vote for the small party I believe in and knowing it's not a wasted vote. It's better than knowing your only real option is A or B.

That's the perfect description. My wife and I laugh every time we see him. He's like the lovable drunk uncle who you just know is going to spill a glass of wine or say something overtly sexual at Christmas dinner.

a wasteland like Sweden

 

Define wasteland. I have lived in both and would never choose the discrimination, poverty and corporate ownership of the US. Sweden is the most referenced model when discussing Socialism that works. In Sweden, everyone has great healthcare. Everyone has the same educational opportunities without cost. Preschool is on a sliding scale, based on income and the right of every child. Environmental issues are taken seriously. A full time job makes a decent wage, no matter the field. The slightest sign of discrimination against gays is not tolerated. A few months after moving here, I was asked to speak to a high school English class. They asked why I moved here, since they have this magical idea of the US from TV and film. I told them that my wife immigrating to the US wasn't an option. They were blown away. The concept of gays being treated differently is just a foreign concept to the young people. There's an overall attitude of taking care of each other. Our elderly are cared for. Our developmentally disabled are cared for. There isn't enough care in the area of mental disabilities, but it's a major point being worked on presently. 

 

There are certainly things I miss about the US. I miss 24 hour convenience of big box stores and pharmacies. I miss pizza delivery. (24 hour pharmacies and pizza delivery are really only available in big cities.) I miss cheap stuff, but I am learning the difference between a want and a need, which was a problem for me. God, do I miss Broadway, but getting to the West End isn't too difficult and there's decent theatre in Stockholm. I miss my family and friends, but I do not miss the political BS.
