You're supporting someone who supported DOMA and her husband was the guy that put it into legislation. Bad gay! bad gay.

Clinton vs. Sanders

Sanders is the only way to go if you want to lose in the general election.

Hillary is going to be the nominee.

Every single poll indicates otherwise.

Remember, as Sanders supporters are so often fond of pointing out, Bernie has not gotten his fair shake in the media. Voters don't even know about him yet.

The Republicans will make sure the voters know. Oh lordy, they will.

PJ, sometimes you read like the over hyped local sportscaster. Clinton has so many warts and is going to cause dull turnout, except for the GOP turnout that is. This fantasy land you live in seems out there.

Thank you, Phyl. Was about to post that FactCheck link myself. Criticism of Clinton's recent campaign scolding to younger women is definitely fair game, but arguing that she - of all candidates - is not genuine in her support for pay equity and equal opportunity and access for women is ****ing ridic.

Clinton vs. Sanders

Don't think this attack is fair at all, or any of the other attacks, or the fact that she changes her position like the wind, or this e-mail nonsense, or these bank donations, and speeches, they mean nothing. This is who we are to get the Supreme Court back, sad.

"Hillary is going to be the nominee."

Without a doubt because it is rigged for her to win due to "superdelegates. Sanders beats Clinton by 22% in New Hampshire primary and gets less delegates, what does that tell everyone.

#1864

Clinton vs. Sanders

Superdelegates do not = "rigged." They can change their minds--and routinely have in the past.

#1865

Clinton vs. Sanders

"They can change their minds--and routinely have in the past."

Sure they can change their mind but you really think they will change from Clinton to Sanders, I highly doubt it. Why even have superdelegates? Why not just get delegates only by earning them and winning the primaries? IMO - it is absurd that Sanders won by 22% and gets less delegates than Clinton.

#1866

Clinton vs. Sanders

IMO everyone that is so vocal and upset about the electoral and popular system, well you must have a short memory. Let's remember what happened to Al Gore v Bush...popular vote ?? If Congress wanted to change it, it may have done it by now.

I also think that the call for change in this frenzied matter is a dream (or nightmare) that millions of people have been hoping for. Just look at what happened when "Occupy Wall Street" was all the rage...for about one month. Millions clamored for changes, some adamantly, some defiantly...did anything change? It became the "flavor of the month".

That's what happening with Sanders and Trump. Neither one of them has produced any kind of formal plan or budget. They are riding this popularity on the hopes and dreams of how much people want change. It's a reality show that people don't want it to end. If Sanders has been in Congress for so long, how could he not be an "insider" and know how Washington works? As for Trump, well, the White House would be a step down from a Golden Apartment in New York City.

I can't believe what could happen if one of these guys is elected. People would wake up the next day and real reality would finally wake them up.

Whatever you think about Clinton (or other politicians) changing her position on topics and policies, that's only been going on since 1776. She is still the best qualified and experienced person that I want as my President.

The DNC will literally do anything to get Hillary the presidency. No matter who you support, this should disgust you.

PalJoey, I forgot about this thread but in relation to your comment below, I have to agree with HorseTears' response to yours. The reason I feel compelled to dig this grave up is because I find the
tone of your post a bit condescending, and I appreciate their focus on the actual issue..''

EDIT: I see the NYTimes article on Madeleine Albright on this issue anyway. Good response.

(His post) "That's the thing that's so puzzling and frustrating, PJ. Hillary does have the record to backup her claims of being one of the strongest advocates for women's rights in modern US history. So, when her campaign and her surrogates go out and try and shame young female voters into supporting Hillary just because she'd break the glass ceiling on the White House it reads as an out-of-touch scolding from elderly women. Hillary's already got the support of older female voters tied up nicely. If this is her way of reaching out to younger female voters, I'm highly skeptical of its effectiveness. Again, not a critique of Hillary's actual record on women's rights, but on her current campaign strategy. "

(Your Post) "No. But her lifelong devotion to championing women's rights--economically, socially and politically--does make her the better choice for female voters as well as male voters.

But you don't care about any of that. You just want to get sooooooooooo angry.

(And besides, you don't live here anyway, do you?)"

Give me claws and a hunch, just away from this bunch.

John Kasich (at last night's debate, complaining about the personal attacks): “I think we’re fixing to lose the election to Hillary Clinton if we don’t stop this."

Republican pollster Frank Luntz Tweeted these out during the debate:

Frank Luntz ‏@FrankLuntz

The NBA Slam Dunk Contest is tonight, and @JohnKasich had the slam-dunk line of the #GOPDebate: “These attacks will elect Hillary Clinton."

Frank Luntz ‏@FrankLuntz 12h12 hours ago

This is the GOP nightmare… And it's more likely to happen after tonight because of their #GOPDebate behavior.

Frank Luntz ‏@FrankLuntz 12h12 hours ago

Seriously, this is insane. The GOP is destroying itself tonight, and they have no one to blame but themselves. #GOPDebate

Frank Luntz ‏@FrankLuntz 12h12 hours ago

Independent voters will look at the viciousness and chaos of tonight’s #GOPDebate and say "I don't want that."

Frank Luntz ‏@FrankLuntz 12h12 hours ago

Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe someone besides Hillary won tonight’s #GOPDebate.

Namo, you're a strange one. You criticize me for making it all about me. Yet, you're involved in most of the threads in this entire board. How am I making that all about me, because I lend my thoughts to a couple of political boards that I care about?

Sorry, but when you pop into a two page thread for the first time and a poster has earlier written homophobic things about three of the other posters in the thread and you announce "Hey buddy, I'm not gay..." that IS you making something that was about other people into all about you. That's just the way it is, brah.

Of COURSE you don't notice when you do that. And apparently, when you respond you do so days later in a different thread entirely.

Sometimes I wonder how Hillary and Bernie would have polled back in 1984 during this early stretch of the race while Reagan was the incumbent POTUS. Times were so different then. The Mondale-Ferraro ticket was a non-starter. It was my first time voting.

#FactsMatter...your feelings not so much.
#1875

Clinton vs. Sanders

I would say it was a starter but it was a failure to launch. I saw Ferraro speak on the campaign trail. This was before rally attendees were vetted in advance. It was kind of electrifying.
