so i have taken a bit of time since i have been back and i watched and watched and i see now why folks are so happy for the ignore feature to be back.

it's been a while since i have seen such a case of desperation.

trolls are one thing, but this is like a remora that's latched onto some posters and lives solely to draw some notice from them; like the very plain girl whose undone the top three buttons on her blouse and always lingers a bit too long there making sure you notice when she leans in to ask you something.

i was hsitant to say anything at all, realizing that the ignore feature is what i would have advocated - and still do - but i did promise someone that i would say something eventually. i don't need to see much more to realize that this isn't really worthy of anger or vitriol, but pity really - if i were a caring person.

so...just sad.

And I've been reluctant to call that person out on HER b/s but she's written some incredibly stupid shaite all week as she's whored herself out for a modicum of fuggin' attention.

It's been particularly amusing however to watch as it slowly becomes clear that no one really cares anymore.

Suddenly the tone of the posts is more combative, the insults harsher, etc.

The desperation is palpable.

Can she - gasp - resist - huff puff - posting in this - GASP - thread?

Will the person who hasn't posted here in such a long time, recently told by the desperate attention whore (D.A.W.) "i like you, you're funny" now be dismissed as a Mean Girl?

Should we ask Rob to install a pity function?

If you pop that pimple, it often leaves a nasty scar. Best to just ignore it and let it fade away on its own. It may take time, but you'll be more beautimous for it in the long run.

Speak for yourself. Maybe if you were super pale and uber-caucasian you would understand how something that seems to be so disruptive but short-lived can leave a deep scar that's always there to remind you of the worser times.

Taz, I have noticed that as well. Since I joined, it seemed like today was the first day IT actually created a thread (presumably for the attention). Just as serial killers begin abruptly veering away from their modus operandi when they begin to feel desperate, the same is happening here.

Namo, we still need that new song about shtrolling by Shaiman before pursuing a television deal but I would suggest that this is right up Lifetime's made-for-tv movie alley. Or, if you wanted a more lighthearted take on the whole situation, perhaps we should approach Oxygen.

Sadly, it will just come in here and post some BS about how flattered it is that another thread was created in its honor.

Then it will remark on how sad we all are and how hypocritical we are for continuing to refer to something that we wanted to be rid of.
