I'm very happy for him, and really really glad that he recognized Rourke.
Classy guy, classy speech, timeless performance.

East Village - Sean Penn's win has NOTHING to do with Brokeback!
You stole my words, Addie.
What a beautiful speech. Thank you, Sean.

I thought Sean Penn was great, but...I really wanted Mickey Rourke to win. A lot. I'm a little sad.

Posted: 2/22/09 at 11:50pmSo happy! Now I don't have to be as disappointed when Slumdog wins best picture instead of Milk. (I did love Slumdog too, though!)

What is this collection of films? Kind of confusing...
But I also kind of like it.
But, it's sort of taking away from the nominated films!

I would love to see Slumdog upset.
It was fine, but, I just don't get this groundswell of awards for it.

Old winners as they relate to current nominees??
I'm not really sure...

Posted: 2/22/09 at 11:52pmMuch as I love Slumdog, if Milk or The Reader won, that would be AWESOME.

Posted: 2/22/09 at 11:52pmYeah, it seems to be old winners with themes similar to those of the noms. Very oddly done.
