Papa, all of these incredibly disturbing acts (sarcasm) committed by Obama that you keep talking about pale in comparison to what McCain is doing. Obama is a politician. A remarkably good one. McCain has shown that whatever he says can't be trusted to be his opinion, and the opinions that he has shown are very alarming, and he has none of the charisma that Obama has. Obama is the better candidate.

nothing bammy does is a surprise. nor is it possible for him to take a position that he hasn't already taken since he's taken them all at one time or another. therefore anything he does is what he has always done and is therefore another example of his steadfast resolve and merely reinforces what he has always maintained. there has been no change. we hope.

Didn't say it wasn't a change, of course it is. Just saying it was expected. Like his change on campaign finance. It was an obvious change, but something everyone expected.

I can't believe he would do this. He should be trying to bring the party together. Does he not realize how this is going to make the dems who are on the fence feel?

Or is it just another sign of his arrogance? So convinced he's going to win it doesn't matter what he does.

Granted, this is an emotional response and it may fade in time, but I am extremely disappointed. And once again I question his judgement.

I'm trying to work up the "Righteous" anger I should have over Obama being "the one" as Papa keeps saying...and then McCain forgets his Geritol and can't remember what country borders the next! Foreign policy FTW!
If we're going to start talking spin and doublespeak and saying one thing Monday and saying the opposite Tuesday, we could start and stop with "Both Sides" McCain.

Everyone here agrees that they both flip flop and they both play the game.
I personally don't blame either one of them. It's the way the ball rolls.
But that doesn't mean we're not gonna call them out when they do something egregious as The Messiah has done here.

They're not effective to me.

Far funnier is someone whining about popularity, especially when McCain's entire career has been based on a media love affair.
It said everything in the world about that man when he sucked up to Bush and Co. after the incredibly evil tactics they deployed to win the nomination in 2000. Obama can equivocate and change his responses according to his bowel movements for all I care, he still won't be (as far as I can tell) beholden to the Rovian wing.
