Mark, you are as transparent as cellophane on a fruit basket. You fall back on the same tired expressions that you've used countless times before, under the countless screen names that you have had. The only person here who is "MISUNDERESTIMATING" anything is you. You haven't fooled anyone...you simply aren't that smart.

In a day or two...you will have a meltdown...you'll be banned once again, and the whole cycle will start all over again. It's sort of your version of the life cycle of a fruit-fly.

No one -- Biden nor Palin -- will step down at this point. A change this late in the game would damage either far more than whatever liability either brings to the ticket.

She's not going to be given the boot. It's only wishful thinking on my part. By picking up Palin, McCain has completely disgraced the high office which he seeks.

from the brilliant election collective here, yes. which is about as deep and astute a batch of election commentary as exists on the bww ot board.

but auggie hit it on the head in another thread: the bar has been lowered to the point that if she doesn't drool on herself at the debate she wins. people are going to be rooting for her to re-emerge like a phoenix from the brutal attack she has faced at the hands of the vile liberal media who hate "normal folk.". not here, of course, but out there in the rest of the country, y'know where presidential elections are actually decided.

There are absolutely people who are hoping she succeeds on Thursday. I do not, however, believe that group includes independents or undecideds, and that's what it's all about right now. So, if she doesn't embarass herself, and meets the MSM's and RNC's low standards, it may help re-energize the base. However, I think the standard is MUCH HIGHER to bring in independents and undecideds.

The expectations are so low, that if she can pronounce Biden and Obama correctly she will win the debate. And, if Biden does his usual smirk, she might be elevated to the top of the ticket.
