YouWantitWhen, that's true of any presidential candidate. Hillary can't do everything alone.
Jerb, the front runner is the person with the most delegates. Still gonna be Obama after tonight. As for Penn, who can say.

I know no one can tell what will happen in November.
By the same token though YWIW, are you concerned that Clinton has less experience than McCain? Was that at issue in 92 when B. Clinton with 0 federal experience beat Bush 41 who had at least 20 years of Federal experience.
I don't think that those questions have to be answered though, it is perfectly understandable to decide not to support Obama because you think he is not experienced enough.
But it really is late now, the numbers are really unlikely to break for Clinton. Should questions about experience be enough to reverse the decision of the majority of voters?
That is what I can't get over.
Jerby- What does that mean though, practically? I concede that there is argument there, but if Obama has more votes overall I just can't imagine a Clinton reversal based on convincing superdelegates to switch doing anything but hurting the party in the long run.

I think it goes a bit deeper than his experience. Some of his policies are weak (economic for one) when compared to Clinton's.
And as the next president is going to inherit a recession, that goes a long way.

To answer you question, yes, to an extent, but I do think her 8 years in the white house did have some influence on her. It is not the same as serving as an elected official, but it does matter to me.
And Ronin, I agree, but Hillary does not suffer from some of the same issues (at least in my mind) as Clinton does in foreign affairs and defense. I think he will need (more so than she) to beef up his credentials with a running mate that has clear military and foreign policy experience.
MSNBC is calling Texas Primary for Clinton.

Big night for Hillary.
I agree with many of the points that Clinton supporters keep making, but I just don't see how it translates to a win for her at this point.
The continuation of the nastiness is what concerns me, not the race itself. If it were civil, I think it might be a good thing.
But this has been nasty.
I now believe that neither Obama nor Clinton will even come close in November.

I dunno about that SP - I have a feeling that McCain will not be getting much press over the next couple of months, and will still have problems raising money.
McCain is so closely aligned with Bush now, and has professed his incompetence on economic issues, that he has plenty of his own issues. His running mate may also factor into the process.
I still think that either of them can beat him.

Nasty schmasty. This is NOTHING.
Just wait till the Republican 527s get their hands on the Democratic candidate.
THEN you'll see nasty that will make you cry. Nasty that will make you throw up. Nasty that will make you ashamed to be an American.
Grow up, Obama supporters, get tough and stop whining.
The REAL work has yet to begin.

Both candidates are going to be slimed hard core everyday until the election.
I think there is a chance for McCain to go down because the economy is awful, but for the exact same "experience" reasons I really think the fear card will drive people to McCain. He can just play Clinton's commercial with his name on it, against either Clinton or Obama.
I hope you are right, but I have lost every last bit of optimism.

McCain has not been really attacked in a general election (the crap that Bush did in SC was so over-board).
His position on Iraq, and he apparent desire to invade Iran, coupled with his legendary temper makes one question whether or not he is really the right person to lead this country right now.
And, he is going to have to make a hard left-hand turn to try and court independents - which may aggravate his base.
I don't think it is clear sailing for him.
Also, this could be the moment in time where Obama really demonstrates he is the nominee, and challenges Clinton effectively. There were undoubtedly going to be ebbs and flows in the campaign, and if he can step on the gas, he may further demonstrate that it is his time.
He has had a couple of stumbles this past week, and it will be interesting to see how he recovers.
Part of me has been so sick of MSNBC's clear bias against Hillary, that I wanted to see her comeback a bit. Now, I want a real debate, about issues and solutions.

You've lost every bit of optimism? Welcome to America.
I lost every bit of optimism time and time again since I first lost it when I was a little kid, when the civil rights movement turned into urban violence. I lost every bit of optimism when the antiwar movement turned to 4 dead at Kent State at O-hi-o when I was a teenager
And I lost every bit of optimism again when the joy and freedom of gay liberation turned into a nightmare of a disease that killed so many of my beautiful and talented friends, a disease no one cared about--not the media, not the politicians, not the tsk-tsk'ing straight people around me.
I'm sorry you lost every bit of your optimism, but I can tell you something, because I'm old and still optimistic, it grows back, stronger--if you allow it to.
I honor the optimism Obama engendered--and he may still be the nominee and even the president--but I never trusted it, because it was a bubble, built on hope and hype.
Politics isn't decided by polls and trends and media pundits. It's decided by millions of individuals in the privacy of voting booths.
And that's something that grows back my optimism, election after election after election, even when everyone seems to be voting the wrong way.
There's always the next election...

Pal Joey,
I am an adult, I have seen pains and sadness and loss too.
There is no need to condescend to me.
What point does it really serve that your posts seem to think that my opinions are irrelevant and childish?
I lost any sense of optimism that the Democrats can win the election, and that is in part based on this type of idiotic sniping. It has nothing to do with Obama.
Sure the republicans will be nastier, why can't we spend this time being nasty to them rather than sitting around and trying to insult each other?

If that's condescension and sniping, it's time for me to go to bed.
Goodnight.

You know you are right, it probably wasn't overall.
There is just the general sense of "you don't know any better" that seems to come off from "Welcome to America." or "Grow Up, Obama Supporters, get tough and stop whining."
I really do respect the personal aspects of the rest of your post.
I need to go to bed as well.
