I wish!
If I ever offended anyone enough to block me.. I bid you adieu. Don't forget to kiss my ass on the way out.
Ditto!
thanks Marianne!
As long as I can still read After Eight's posts, I'll be happy. I love that miserable bastard.
Really, for me, as of now there is only one person I am going to block. I find JCWS threads with his dumb assed lyrics hysterical! I wonder why he isn't a house hold name?
Few others annoy me enough. However if they do cross that line...CLICK... to the cornfield!

I have about a dozen I've already thought of. The Dirty Dozen, as it were.
As so many here proclaim in anticipation of seeing a show, I'm so excited!
At this point, there's only one poster I plan to immediately ignore.
There are a number of people whose posts I find annoying, but I don't think I'd want to ignore them. I'm often curious as to what they have to say (though I'm often equally curious as to why they'd choose to say it in the persona of a snide bitch).
Actually, I'll be interested in seeing if anyone's tone is tempered given that we'll all know that there is now an instant remedy to our fellow posters' annoyance.

Is this thread necessary? Couldn't you just be thankful that there is going to be an "Ignore" button and use it.
I know many people are angry at suestorm for posting what they deem inappropriate messages. Why then stoop to her level? This is mob mentality.
The whole point of the past few days was to discuss the negativity here and it was agreed upon by "majority" that reinstating the "Ignore" button was in order. Great. Use it.
No thread is necessary. Nor is it necessary that you read or post in threads that make you unhappy.

Out of curiosity, have you read the "things a troll says" thread? It is my opinion that Mother Theresa would chastise some of what was re- posted there.
Yeah, shut up, Scott.

I think I started reading a thread that might be the one you're referring to. Wanting to understand your perspective, I did a search on, "things a troll says" with "message board" clicked. Nothing was returned. Please provide a link or a title that is searchable.
I second that emotion, growl.

Yeah, shut up, Scott.
I am not going to shut up. I suggest, "Ignore".
No, ArtsyScott (Get it? Say it out loud). YOU do a search. Nobody is here to work for you. If you want information, look for it yourself.
And how do you know what's "necessary"?
I only know what's necessary when ArtsyScott (Get it? Say it out loud) tells me it's so.

Jordan Catalano...
I did a search:

Quoted from my post.
Do you read? This is a sincere question. I am curious.
I do read. In fact I just read a book today. It was about a scrappy puppy. Do YOU read? That's a serious question. One posed to make it seem more important than it actually is.

Thanks to everyone for getting the ignore button. Love this post.
ARTc3 - why do you insist on being the town schoolmarm and trying to scold everyone for their behavior? You know exactly what reaction you will get - and you deserve it. Not getting it.

I find cruelty abhorrant and I find this thread cruel.
As I have written before, I don't know the suestorm history. I tend to believe people often create their own situation and so I have no doubt that many people here find her posts inappropriate - perhaps cruel in their own right. I do know that this thread is a form of bullying and I have been taught to stand up against such behavior.
(I am not saying that suestorm hasn't "bullied" in her own right. I don't know. I am saying that no matter what, two wrongs don't make a right.)

Wynbish, thank you. I respect your perspective and will read through the thread.
As I have written before, I don't know the suestorm history.
Then, why, for crap's sake, are you concerning yourself with this at ALL?
Sheesh.
For someone whose profession is working with social networks, you seem to have no idea whatsoever how Internet chat boards work.
And even less about group dynamics.
And absolutely nothing about How to Win Friends and Influence People.
Someone who posts on a chat board simply to scold the other members of the chat board on subjects about which, he admits, he doesn't know the history?
Sounds a little trollish to me, n'est-ce pas?
"I tend to believe people often create their own situation..."
And presumably you've noticed that you "tend" to make enemies here very quickly, no matter how many new accounts you make.
Now connect those two thoughts, and, oh, the places you'll go!
