Aw, I have such a crush on Christian Bale as Jack aka the Cowboy. The singing? The dancing? The bravado? Swoon. I hated the love story though, since the sister character was way underdeveloped and distracted from the main story.

My 10 year old sister claims David has a crush on Jack.

Also, doesn't one of the Newsies have a solo in the RENT movie?

I was so obsessed with this film when it was first released. I watched my VHS so many times that I think I wore it out.

I haven't watched it in years, I should probably pick up the DVD sometime.

David Moscow...or David in Newsies...was Tom Hanks friend in Big. When they were little obviously.

Actaully, David Moscow WAS Tom Hanks when he was little.

I was just moving and came across my video of newsies and watched while packing, I love this movie.

I Wish... Madeline Kahn could have played the Witch in Into the Woods. She would have rocked!

Saw it in the theatre when it first came out, was OBSESSED. I was such a Racetrack girl, still am. David made me want to break things over his smug little face. And ohhh Christian Bale....I bought the DVD the day it came out, but that's not as crazy as when I wrote Disney as a kid, complaining about no lyrics in the cassette booklet. They sent me a pretty shiny lyrics booklet. Still have it!

I used to watch this movie all the time! My parents thought I was nuts! I loved Max Casela...I was so excited when I got to see him as Timon in The OBC of the Lion King...and, of course, he is on The Sopranos now..

who is the character in the last picture cturtle put up?

and the guy that was in both Newsies and Rent was in See What I Wanna See with Idina Menzel.

LOVE this movie! I also had to buy the soundtrack twice. The first one I got was the cassette and I would rewind and fast foward so much it got stuck in my walkman. I got the cd afterwards and have since loaded it up into my ipod. Love it!
So many Roundhouse guys are in Newsies. My fav Roundhouse guy was Ivan...I won't even attempt to spell his last name but I know it started with a D.
