GothamPC, I used to eat Bugles off my fingers, too! The last time I had them was a year and a half ago when I was visiting my sister in Tennessee. I haven't seen Bugles in DC.

Hey Dottie! Did your colleagues enjoy the cake even though your cat decided to sit on it? ~GuyfromGermany

Goth and Dottie, my friends and I used to call them fingernails, because we'd eat them off our fingers...

"I haven't seen Bugles in DC."

We have them here in NYC, but some stores put them on the bottom shelf so you really have to look for them.

About a year ago, they had Nacho flavored Bugles but I haven't seen them recently.

When we were little, we would also stick them on the end of our tongue and wiggle it around. Also, we would try to pour soda into the open end and drink out of them, but we weren't coordinated enough to get the soda into the open end.

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Bugles with a chocolate chip or hershy kiss placed in the conveniently sized hollow...

Now THAT is a junk food.

So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.~Office Space

There's a great website called Hometown Favorites that sells a lot of retro food stuffs. I've ordered from them a few times and they have terrific customer service.

One of my favorite items are the decade boxes. They are boxes of candy/food from the 50s, 60s, 70s, etc. Friends that have hit the dreaded 40 (and in some cases 50) mark recently really liked them.

Ring Ding Juniors. We used to keep them in the freezer and actually eat them frozen. The cream filled center would be like ice cream.

I cant remember what they were called , but my mom use to buy us chocolate coverd fruit snacks. Which im sure were mostly if not all sugar. I LOVED them, you can buy chocolate covers gummy bears but they arent the same.
I am also a bubble tap kid.
I would also get all wound up on Jasta(SP?) That oh so wonderfull soda that was a caffine bomb in a bottle.
Orbitz those drinks with the little nasty balls floating in it.
That was nasty, but I drank it anyway!!
The last one I can think of is the Ben and Jerry's Ice cream that had the pop rocks in it, SOOOO good.

I used to love Quisp cereal and Captain Crunch with Crunchberries....do they still make that?

There used to something put out by Franco American which was supposed to macaroni and cheese in a can. It was overcooked noodles in a slimy, almost tasteless, white sauce. God I loved that stuff.
Do tater tots still exist?

I was really addicted to that myster color popcorn. You never knew what color you'd get, but after 3:20 in the microwave, you could have pink or blue or green or purple popcorn. I think it was a candy coating or something. I loved it; can't remember the name though.

i'm a tough act to follow because when i'm done i take the microphone with me.

WingDings! We used to freeze them, too, Yenta! Those things were terrific! I know you can still buy it, but I loved Lucky Charms cereal back then, too.

At lunch in about 3rd grade, if you didnt have a Fruit Roll Up packed with your lunch, you were a loser.

Thanks for jarring my memory, Mr. Roxy, with the mention of ice cream. For me, it was Good Humour Chocolate Eclaire ice cream bars.

There used to be several different flavors of Frosted Flakes...like banana and cocoa.

Also remember Crispy Critters Cereal--"they're indubitably delicious!"

Some of the other "crazy" ones I remember (and I don't know if they're still around today or not)...

Goober Grape (PB&J mixed together in stripes)
Pop Rocks
Bazooka Gum
Qwisp Cereal
Count Chocula & Frankenberry (and Boo-Berry too)
Bubble-Up cola
Nacho Chees Doritos
Astro Pops
Zero candy bars
Wacky Packages (crazy trading cards and gum)
Burger Chef burgers (big in the Midwest)... remember Burger Chef???
King Vitamin Cereal
Stake-ums
Sambo's Restaurant

Others that still endure today:
Tater Tots
Spaghetti-Os
Mac & Cheese

*sigh*

I love Count Chocula! They made it last year, but then it went away near Christmas time. God, that cereal was good.

Sometimes I still find Bazooka Gum around, though.

I think they still sell Pop Rocks. I haven't had them in six years!

What the puck?!
