"I haven't seen Bugles in DC."
We have them here in NYC, but some stores put them on the bottom shelf so you really have to look for them.
About a year ago, they had Nacho flavored Bugles but I haven't seen them recently.
When we were little, we would also stick them on the end of our tongue and wiggle it around. Also, we would try to pour soda into the open end and drink out of them, but we weren't coordinated enough to get the soda into the open end.

Bugles with a chocolate chip or hershy kiss placed in the conveniently sized hollow...
Now THAT is a junk food.

There's a great website called Hometown Favorites that sells a lot of retro food stuffs. I've ordered from them a few times and they have terrific customer service.
One of my favorite items are the decade boxes. They are boxes of candy/food from the 50s, 60s, 70s, etc. Friends that have hit the dreaded 40 (and in some cases 50) mark recently really liked them.

I cant remember what they were called , but my mom use to buy us chocolate coverd fruit snacks. Which im sure were mostly if not all sugar. I LOVED them, you can buy chocolate covers gummy bears but they arent the same.
I am also a bubble tap kid.
I would also get all wound up on Jasta(SP?) That oh so wonderfull soda that was a caffine bomb in a bottle.
Orbitz those drinks with the little nasty balls floating in it.
That was nasty, but I drank it anyway!!
The last one I can think of is the Ben and Jerry's Ice cream that had the pop rocks in it, SOOOO good.

I used to love Quisp cereal and Captain Crunch with Crunchberries....do they still make that?
There used to something put out by Franco American which was supposed to macaroni and cheese in a can. It was overcooked noodles in a slimy, almost tasteless, white sauce. God I loved that stuff.
Do tater tots still exist?

Posted: 3/14/06 at 7:46pmI was really addicted to that myster color popcorn. You never knew what color you'd get, but after 3:20 in the microwave, you could have pink or blue or green or purple popcorn. I think it was a candy coating or something. I loved it; can't remember the name though.

Pop Rocks
Bazooka Gum
Qwisp Cereal
Count Chocula & Frankenberry (and Boo-Berry too)
Bubble-Up cola
Nacho Chees Doritos
Astro Pops
Zero candy bars
Wacky Packages (crazy trading cards and gum)
Burger Chef burgers (big in the Midwest)... remember Burger Chef???
King Vitamin Cereal

Others that still endure today:
Tater Tots
Spaghetti-Os
Mac & Cheese

I love Count Chocula! They made it last year, but then it went away near Christmas time. God, that cereal was good.
Sometimes I still find Bazooka Gum around, though.
I think they still sell Pop Rocks. I haven't had them in six years!
