Posted: 11/25/09 at 11:16pmi'm thankful for cameltoe, pantiless starlets, the exposure of the enlightened media as the homophobic sh*tes they are, the drive-by truckers, single malt scotch, my friends - many of whom reside here, that crazy wench who married me and my little monster

For 2009, I'm thankful for:
Aretha's hat for the inauguration
My three daughters graduating (college, HS, junior high)
Obama (warts and all, tremble to think where we'd be with McCain/Palin)
My wife and mother getting through another year, despite all their ailments
My youngest getting cast in the HS production of Oliver as a freshman
My oldest getting a job (finally)
All the great shows I've seen this year (Blithe Spirit, Mary Stuart, Finian's Rainbow, Full Monty (Papermill), Noises Off (NJ Shakespeare), many more)

I'm thankful to have friends and family who care very much about me.
I am thankful to live in a free country.
I am thankful that my family and I are in good health (partially...for me, anyway)
I am thankful for my cousins who are 3 years old and 6 months old, who are the cutest and sweetest things ever-- even though I don't see them often because they live 5 hours away!
I am thankful for the education I was able to receive despite my disability.
I am thankful to be able to live in a safe house, go on vacations, have a car, have a computer, a TV, a bed, food, clothing...etc. (little things that many people don't have.)
*Side story
We had a new dishwasher put in 2 days ago. The guy who was putting it in got a phone call to which he replied "omg! ****...k, call you soon." He got off the phone and (trying his best not to break down) He told us that his 6 year old niece was in the hospital for 35 days due to swine flu. She went into surgery so they could get the fluid out of her lungs and she passed away during surgery. He went outside, took a few minutes to himself and finished installing the dishwasher. As my mom was writing the check, he sighed and said "I have nothing to be thankful for..." My mom just said "I'm sorry, I can only imagine how difficult it is."
I felt bad for him and stuff but it sure was an awkward situation...what did he want us to say when he said he had nothing to be thankful for? I guess it was more like a personal type vent where he just needed someone to hear him express his concern.

Well, in school, we had to do a stupid activity where we say what we're thankful for and color a turkey... I turned the turkey into the NBC peacock and wrote that I'm thankful for my money

I am in such a mood tonight that the only answer I feel like giving is this -nothing. I know that sounds selfish but I feel that lousy.

~My family who have become amazingly and surprisingly supportive
~That I have a job in the craptastic economy
~That the assholes I work for decided to go away for the holiday
~For the fantastic friends I have
~And for the knucklehead who started this thread who also fits in the one above

I'm thankful for my friends and family, because I know that I am not always easy to put up with.
I'm thankful for Kringas, who just farted in his sleep. Again.
I'm thankful for second chances.
And I'm thankful that I've gotten to direct all my heterophobia upon Carrie Prejean. It's really lightened my load.

Posted: 11/26/09 at 1:31amEvery year I say the same thing: health, family and friends. If all three are in good condition, then life will work itself out. I'm pleased to say that this year I will be the happiest Thanksgiving for me in a while. All the family will be there, and I am seeing all of my old friends that evening, and I'm very happy due to my current experiences in college. I know I may be young, but I'm finally content with life.

Posted: 11/26/09 at 1:41amI'm thankful for my family and friends, because without them, I don't see how I could be doing as well as I am, considering I lost my father, my younger cousin, and one of my friends from college within 4 months this year. I'm also thankful for my new school and the wonderful people I have met there.

My husband.
A safe and beautiful home.

Relative peace and security.

Papa, you misspelled "lamb."
I'll be lazy and just say: What PJ said. It was a great answer, and pretty much sums up how I feel. (I'm thankful for PJ, too.)

That my husband hasn't kicked my ass to the curb.
That my children seem relatively happy and well-adjusted.
The good health of myself and my family.
Many wonderful friends.
The ice cold bottle of Patron in my freezer.
Oh, and that my husband was the one who came downstairs first this morning and discovered the dead mouse my dog brought in. That sh*t is just naaaasty!

Posted: 11/26/09 at 9:06amAwwww! It was clearly your dog's contribution to the family's Thanksgiving feast.
