and as long as you try to make the arguement that christian extremists are the flip side of islamic extremists, you'll turn off the moderates and lose votes. it's one thing to point out similar views shared by both but when you fail to differentiate between the two and try to portray the christians as just as bad, you'll lose your ability to influence people as they'll see you as the extremist. it's not necessarily what you say, but how you say it.
