My #1 pet peeve is when people say:
"I could care less"
THAT MEANS YOU DO CARE! YOU SHOULD SAY:
"I COULDN'T CARE LESS"
Absolutely nothing irritates me more than that.

Hmmmm...
I can't stand when people confuse "good" and "well", but on the other hand, i'm sure other people are just as annoyed by me correcting them on their use of "good" and "well".
My other pet peeve is when someone starts to tell you something, and then stop and say "oh, never mind".
#15re: the 'official' pet peeve thread
Posted: 1/31/05 at 2:59pmPapa? What makes this thread official? I mean the other day, I was talking to someone about "official" threads and... and oh, never mind.

Posted: 1/31/05 at 3:08pmI hate bitchy people! Not people who just make joky remarks, but when you walk into a room and it's obvious someone's been talking about you, and then they start laughing. Grrrrr.

jacques, listen up, maggot, i will rip out your eyeballs and skullf*** you if you ever even imply that a thread i denote as official is anything but. (now read it again and imagine r. lee ermey saying it...ahhhhh)
that doesn't mean i don't think you're a handsome man.
it's the trenchcoat.

The great R. Lee Ermey can be retained to perform that prose of yours for about $34-$36. I personally think his defining performance was as the gay homicidal football coach in 'Saving Silverman'.
You know it's what's under the trench coat that makes Jacques JACQUES. And by that, I mean his wallet.
