I missed last night's epi because I was staying at a house without Showtime. Bastages. I'll see it one night this week.

Now I've turned the show off because I hate this storyline with using a dying dog to get a date. Finished with the series it is DREK.

oh god i can't watch this **** anymore. i gave up last season. it truly has the worst writing on tv and some of the worst actresses. it is painful. the only people i enjoyed watching were dana, alice, shane and carmen and now two of those four are gone? what's the point anymore?

Jenny is an idiot.
What are those glasses?
And why does SHE have to be the one to identify what makes one a lesbian? She's been gay for what, two seasons?
If I was Tina, I would have walked the f**k of the B ball court. Rude bitches. Sheesh.
Why was Tina playing for Papi's team?
Jenny is an idiot.

I'm actually enjoying this season. At least they're not killing anyone and being melodramatic. Group scenes, campy, and funny...all good in my book. Only bad thing is that it doesn't really seem like anything's going on. Other than Phyllis and Max, I couldn't tell you what the storyline is of any of the characters. But it's light entertainment, so it's all good.

Oh and Angus seems like he's out the door, based on the previews for next week. Thank goodness!

Madame what happened with the sick dog? I couldn't watch. I am just curious because having old sick dogs it really upset me to have this used in a whimsical way.

Not sure how far you got, but basically Jenny adopted this old, sick dog so she would have a reason to bring it to Stacy Merkin's gf, the vet, to see why she's sooooo great.

That's about as far as we got. Haven't seen the dog in the house yet.

I totally missed the dialogue where we were supposed to learn why the vet/gf was so great and why Jenny cares enough to go stalker on her.

I never really minded Jenny before (though it seems everyone else did), but this season she's turned into at true whack job.

Anyone else catch the non-verbal Dana moment in the episode?

When they were talking about dykey sports after the bball game, they said bball, softball, golf, then Helena says "tennis, there's Martina and..." and then everyone gets quiet, like they're thinking about Dana.

Anyone watch last night? Anyone else think Bette is going to hook up with Marlee Matlin?
Papi is starting to get on my nerves.
Helena needs to hook up with someone soon because she's too hot not to.

In the previews, they show Bette, in fact, hooking up w/ Jodie next week. re: the L Word

Jenny has become a clown.

Papi's playa tendencies and trying too hard are sooooo unattractive. At least Shane plays, it seems, w/o even trying.

And Alice is right - Jenny is no feckin' Monet. lol. And I never want to see those 2 kissing ever again! EWWWWWW!

And Helena did look mighty fine in her black catering outfit. When did she learn to cook though?

Jenny is a pathetic character, and she's just more pathetic each week. I don't even know why they have her on the show- she never really has much of a story line. All of her storylines really involve someone else's big problems. (ex- Max)
Anyway, I love Cybill Shepard's character- she plays it very well so far. Shane is cool and gritty as usual, Bette needs to find a gorgeous girl quickly, and Tina will be back in the fold soon- this trip to heterosexual land won't last. Helena's cahracter is much better this season, ever since she got cut off from her mother. I think this season is starting off great, with the exception of the weak "Where's Popi" storyline...

The Alice/Jenny fight was gold. I loved it. It's good that someone voiced something against Jenny.

So, I admit it, I play Second Life. Well, Showtime has done this huge deal in the game. I don't know where, but on the new L Word website you can be linked into Second Life. You can sign up there and when you come into the game you are not taken to the normal orientation & help areas, you go to The L Word. Showtime has bought a major amount of land and set up an island with The Planet, a club, shops, an ampitheatre, etc. They have speed dating and L Word inspired events. They also show old episodes of the show. So, you can basically create a character and hang out at the Planet. Of course, I went there and bitched because I couldn't find Jennifer Beals. I did go there Sunday night while the show was on. It was really odd to be talking to people in the game as they were watching the show.

It's really an interesting idea and I think it's the first major corporation to use a multiplayer game in such a way. I think it costs about $1200 US to set up an island and then $299 a month to maintain. The rumor is that Showtime bought as many as 20 islands, though I have only seen 5 myself. Considering what they could spend advertising in other areas, I guess that is cheap. At any given time there are around 30,000 people logged on to the game and The L Word can advertise different events for people to come to. Crazy.
