I just watched a DVD called "My Favorite Broadway, The Leading Ladies" It was a concert at Carnegie Hall.
Now, it was a real treat for little ol me. Ive never seen any of these people perform.
And let me tell you, if i didn't love broadway for the music, id love it for the women. There are some total babes on that DVD.
Bebe Neuwirth - I only know her from Fraiser and Cheers, but heavens, she can bust a move on top of being a total babe
Linda Eder - aaaaah, i needed a stick to chew on for that number...
Andrea McArdle - Cute as a button
Judy Kuhn - Sang ALW's best solo and was killer in a shiny dressy thingy
Priscilla Lopez - Up there is years, but still has it
Elaine Stritch - Was wiping up drool after that big finish, lemme tell you
Anyway. I love broadway. And women.

I would like to point out that I once made a crack about a poster who posted as frequently as Bobo does with the references to his alleged heterosexuality and when I stated that I doubted it -- because as Shakespeare once wrote, the lady was protesting TOO much -- he freaked out on my ass and told me to not talk about him and how dare I assume such a thing about a musical-loving 100% heterosexual male? Several months later he cheerfully reported to the board that he had come out to his mom and she was nice about it.
Just an illustrative story.

Well, I am straight and I admit my willingness to make out with Jake Gylenhall...what does that mean?
Side Note: I got scared last night. I was watching the BROADWAY'S LOST TREASURES DVD and one of the bonus features is Patti Lupone singing' Buenos Aires'. I got scared because I actually found her attractive there and....kinda hot. And she is not the most attractive lady. Granted this was filmed in 1980.

Oh my Christ. How much more of this is going to go on? I mean, I know people come out and at their own pace and when they are ready to face these things at the time in their life when they can accept themselves for who and what they are.
But as God is my witness I will bet dollars to Krispy Kremes that fewer than 10% of you males who go on on these boards about how straight you are will remain that way for the rest of your lives.
Mark my words.

Uh-huh. I'm sure it didn't.
I know it must be REALLY hard for you Bobo, what with the Mormonism and all, we've all seen Angels in America, we know from that particular conflict.
You are the one who is overcompensating, please do a search on your own posts to find out how often you go on about the fact that nobody really cares about, your alleged heterosexuality.
I would like to paraphrase Miss Diane Keaton in her title role of the technicolor motion picture "Annie Hall" directed by Mister Woody Allen. When Annie tells Alvie that he's what her Grammy Hall would call "a real Jew... she says Jews are cheap..." she adds on the message I have for you: "... but SHE'S the one, yeah... yeah...."

Posted: 7/31/04 at 1:05amand frankly, while you have a point, im not protesting at all. Just mearly reveling in the bask of feminine beauty all around me.

Why gay people can say that they are gay ALL THE TIME, and if we say that we are straight always appeares a gay saying "you are trying to hide something inside you"????????????????

Context is everything, POL. And here, the context is FAR TOO MANY ALLEGED HETEROSEXUALS going on about their love of musicals and Liza and Judy and poppers.
COME ON.

Why on earth is it so hard for you to accept the fact that i am who i am (funny i would quote THAT song in this argument) I think your battling with yourself there. While you are making the unprovoked attack, you are assigned the burden of proof and so far all i see is arbitrary complaining.
For a liberal, your not being very liberal
Anyway, i do not wish to argue. If you dont mind, the more we discuss this, the more ammo youll have the next time we go about this little dance. Lets end here, shall we?

A "liberal?" Honey, you don't know me at all.
As for your str8ness, those who are, just are. Those who are aren't, spend all their time talking about how they are.

oh...
this is a loooooooooong and boring discussion...
let's create a club:
straights who likes liza, musicals and supposed gay things.
btw... in spain when you said that you like liza, musicals etc... the people don't use to think that you are gay. I think that this is an american misconception.

whoa--I wish to seek clarification, Pol. When you say, and I quote, "Why gay people can say that they are gay ALL THE TIME, and if we say that we are straight always appeares a gay saying "you are trying to hide something inside you"????????????????", are you saying that us gay dudes are always saying, "well as a gay guy..." or are you implying that we do that when we merely talk about boys and stuff?
Because there is a HUGE difference between talking about girls or boys, and feeling the need to label yourself as if it is needed. THAT is what Namo is touching on. It comes off as if you are trying to prove it to yourself as much as you are others. If you want to talk about girls--just talk about girls.

The thing is that the only place that I feel that I need to say if I am straight or not, is when I write about elaine stritch.

I completely agree with all Namo has said so far, and his most likely prediction - there's no need to mention it or preface your postings unless it's something you're trying to convince yourself of (I know of whence I speak...)
And PLEASE - you think gay men don't love women?! I won't even begin to get into that.

Elaine stritch is not a woman.
is something bigger.

Yes, when I knew MJR when he was straight, he would always go around saying, "well as a straight man..." or "Well, I love muscles and Liza, but you know I'm straight, right?"
LOL (just kidding, he never said any of that) He would just beat me up after sex. (again JUST KIDDING!!)
