these seditious f*cks better watch their step because the one true barry don't take this kinda sh*t. how dare they question his divine leadership? they better be ready for a serious audit and the full weight of the government to come down on them like a ton of bricks. if they want to use these kind of brown-shirt tactics to short-circuit the political process, they better be ready. it's not like this president hasn't already ordered the assassination of american citizens (that last part is not rhetoric, but actually true)!
you don't f*cking question me nancy boys!

These people just need to stop complaining, and be thankful that President Obama has done some little things for gays. We should all be grateful to our President for all of his fierce advocacy! Baby steps, baby steps, baby steps! He's got so much on his plate, he's really busy, these guys will miss the miracle if they don't learn to be happy with tiny increments of progress!
Some people are so pushy. Do they expect Obama to cure cancer?

Posted: 4/20/10 at 7:55amIt makes you wonder if these protesters are even paying attention to what's going on. We already know that he is working on this. it's not going to happen overnight. That's just the way it is. They are starting to really annoy me.

What's the difference between "working on this" and s"tonewalling it"?
Here's the transcript:
AUDIENCE MEMBER: Repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell!”
THE PRESIDENT: We are going to do that. Hey, hold on a second, hold on a second. We are going to do that.
AUDIENCE: Yes, we can! Yes, we can! Yes, we can! Yes, we can!
THE PRESIDENT: Here we go. All right -- guys, guys, all right. I agree, I agree, I agree. (Applause.) Now --
AUDIENCE MEMBER: (Inaudible.)
THE PRESIDENT: No, no, no, no, listen. What the young man was talking about was we need to -- we need to repeal “Don’t Ask, Don't Tell,” which I agree with and which we have begun to do. (Applause.) But let me say this: When you’ve got an ally like Barbara Boxer and you’ve got an ally like me who are standing for the same thing, then you don't know exactly why you’ve got to holler, because we already hear you, all right? (Applause.) I mean, it would have made more sense to holler that at the people who oppose it. (Applause.)
........
AUDIENCE MEMBER: It’s time for equality for all Americans!
THE PRESIDENT: I’m sorry, do you want to come up here? (Applause.) You know, the -- all right, because can I just say, once again, Barbara and I are supportive of repealing “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” so I don't know why you’re hollering.
Now, the problems that we have here put a further strain on folks in this state, forcing painful choices about where to spend and where to save. And the challenges folks have been facing here --
AUDIENCE MEMBER: (Inaudible.)
AUDIENCE: Yes, we can! Yes, we can! Yes, we can! Yes, we can!
THE PRESIDENT: Barbara -- I just -- everybody, I just wanted to confirm -- I just wanted to confirm -- I just checked with Barbara, so if anybody else is thinking about starting a chant, Barbara didn’t even vote for “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” in the first place, so you know she’s going to be in favor of repealing “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.” (Applause.)

Posted: 4/20/10 at 8:24amand if it makes the msm the story will be "are gay activists hurting their cause?" which neatly ignores the fact that nearly every single group which has gotten loud with this administration has had their issues addressed. they may not have gotten everything they want and it may very well have just been lip-service, but it's happened over and over and it simply draws attention to the cause in question. so ol' barry & co. gots no one to blame but theyself. the fact that they keep lying to the glbt community just increases the odds of such events.

So once DADT is repealed what will the Roscoes complain about next? I honestly think they would be happy if a Republican wins in 2010 and 2012.Obviously the Democrats in charge don't care about the GLBT community.Obama has clearly done nothing for us since taking office. (LOL)

"So once DADT is repealed what will the Roscoes complain about next?"
There'll still be that DOMA thing, and Obama's long-standing opposition to Marriage Equality, and that won't be changing any time soon. At least until Our Fierce Advocate is safely out of office and can change his mind without having to, you know, actually do anything about repealing DOMA.
"I honestly think they would be happy if a Republican wins in 2010 and 2012."
For the record, once more: Nope. Nobody in their right mind wants a Republican to win in 2010 or 2012, or indeed, to ever win anything ever again.
"Obviously the Democrats in charge don't care about the GLBT community.Obama has clearly done nothing for us since taking office. (LOL)"
Nobody said Obama hasn't done anything. He just hasn't done enough.
We must, of course, be happy with baby steps. Baby steps. And only a few of those, because of course Our Fierce Advocate can't go around looking like he's actually gay-friendly in any significant way. Be happy with the barest of bare minimums! Don't criticize our Fierce Advocate! Would you rather have McCain or Palin? Obama's really really busy, he's got so much on his plate! We don't want to be missing the miracle!

"Nobody said Obama hasn't done anything. He just hasn't done enough."
Has he done more than Bush? Clinton? Why can't you just admit that no matter how much he does, it will NEVER satisfy you? How can he work with people like you who don't acknowledge the "baby steps" he does make? No matter what he does you want everything done RIGHT NOW!
The Fierce Advocate is doing more than any President has done so far. You seem to forget that. Until we have our first openly gay President and first dude, you will be complaining he is not moving fast enough or doing enough....but you will admit it's better than nothing, you just have to be nudged.
I would love to live in your world where all he has to do is wave his wand and fix all the problems we have. Whats weird is, I do agree with you to an extent. I just don't think you are being fair or realistic (we've been over this before, just a difference in opinion)
