Good. One less Republican in the world.

Posted: 9/29/04 at 4:41pmJust don't make a mess on the Picasso sculpture. It's a Chicago landmark. There's plenty of room on the east side facing the empty lot. By the way, what was the deal with that farm thing in the lot all summer?

Oh, please. You think the Republican Party would ever, ever nominate a guy from New York City? I mean, ever? That party (as a whole; I'm not speaking for individuals) abhors New York City. It's Gomorrah to them. Cities in general aren't really their cup of tea.
Not to mention that *cough* Guiliani is pro-choice. Oops.

Posted: 9/29/04 at 5:07pmnah, she just meant the republican party as it is now configured. 2008 will be ugly, i don't see anybody the republicans can nominate who'll have a shot at making it through the prrimaries, which will probably be even more to the right than now, to then even win a single state against hillary. i mean the primaries are likely to produce a santorum or someone of that ilk. the only way there might be a giuliani or pataki even candidacy in 2008 is if one of them steps in for a dead or resigned cheney and can carry that kinda momentum into 2008. otherwise it's a party hack and a stunning loss and a party reformation.

Well to be absolutely accurate, the Republicans found Roosevelt to be a dangerous man. He was trying to change things and all this stuff and the people really liked him. Their solution to control him was to make him vice president because they knew the people would eventually want him to be president. This would appease the people but kept him under control. Unfortunately for the powers that be in the Republican party, McKinley died and the thing they tried to keep from happening happened anyway. It is kind of funny really.

The only way China would ever invade us, which you are suggesting they might do, is if we have a President that ruins our foriegn policy and severes tie with allies that will protect us.
