"In my humble opinion, O'Hara has not won because she was sometimes blown away by other people ("South Pacific"), or just not great ("Pajama Game"). I think she should have won for "Bridges", but she had serious competition that year."
If anyone has seen the interview Kelli O'Hara did with Gold Derby last summer, she stated herself that in the past, she knew it would've felt wrong if she had beaten Sara Ramirez, LaChanze, Patti LuPone, Audra McDonald (and eventually Jessie Mueller). She thinks if she ever wins the Tony someday, it should feel right!

Ziggy,
Why is Chenowith not in this equation? I think Cheno is the one to beat.
In my humble opinion, O'Hara has not won because she was sometimes blown away by other people ("South Pacific"), or just not great ("Pajama Game"). I think she should have won for "Bridges", but she had serious competition that year.
Personally, I find O'Hara dull on stage, and generally without chemistry with her co-stars. I just saw her in "The Merry Widow" at the met, and her vocals couldn't fill the room. That was a strange production, with the vocals without amphlication, but the dialogue miked to the death. Stro's choreography was great, but the show was fighting against itself.

Chenoweth is always fabulous and she'll sell out OTTC nightly and have no doubts that her Lilly will be Tony worthy but I feel that is now expected of her as she always gives a terrific performance!
My early picks for nominees are:
Chita - The Visit
Kelli - King & I
Chenoweth - OTTC
Beth Malone - Fun Home
Em & Erin - Side Show

Have you forgotten about Promises, Promises?

Yes, Cheno was miscast as Fran in the poorly directed revival of Promises but still she was adorable and come on you can't keep your eyes off of her as tiny as she is on stage she commands it no matter what!

Kinky Boots is not a better show than Matilda.
I prefer Matilda over Kinky Boots, but they're equally good. I think though, that Matilda will probably run a lot longer since it is a familiar story.
Fun Home has amazing music and the book Is wonderful. It really could win.

"Chita - The Visit
Kelli - King & I
Chenoweth - OTTC
Beth Malone - Fun Home
Em & Erin - Side Show"
I think that's a pretty accurate prediction of the nominees.
I think Beth Malone is a long shot, because she plays the same character as two other girls who are terrific. They will cancel each other out.
Are those side show girls going to be nominated as one again? If Ripley and Skinner couldn't win that in an easy year, these girls have no chance.
Kelli has the "hasn't won, but nominated five times" going for her. And she has the should have won for "Bridges" but didn't. However, I don't think her Anna will stand up to Donna Murphy.
Chita seems like a shoe-in, if "The Visit" makes it this season.
If it doesn't, Chenowith is the out and out winner.
Again, Just My Opinion.

I hear ya and follow your thinking
Donna was phenomenal as Anna and Kelli has to prove herself and Cheno is Lilly so it will be an interesting race...can't wait to see all of these new performances in the coming months

For the record, I didn't actually see that revival, I was only basing it off of the reviews it received.

'If Ripley and Skinner couldn't win that in an easy year, these girls have no chance.'
Jigga what? Not only was Marin Mazzie nominated for RAGTIME, the winner was Natasha Richardson who gave the single best performance I've ever seen. Ripley and Skinner were honored just to be nominated that year.
And as for Kelli O'Hara, I think she should have won three of the five times she was nominated, including this last time.
