If I had a Delorean, Legally Blonde would NOT be the first show I would use it to travel through time to see. Guess that's just me. re: 11 people list Legally Blonde as one of their fave shows

To Shiksa Goddess:

"What, like it's hard?"

Sorry, couldn't resist. :)
Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

Of COURSE it's their favorite show! Right now, before it's been performed or even written, it's perfect. Flawless. It has struck the balance between camp and class, each song is glorious (except the couple that have leaked out, they are OK-- the ones I haven't heard I BET I LOVE!)!

I love the next Sondheim show so much I can't think about it without wetting myself.

I'm not making fun of you. It's just that, as has been said, I'm questioning how it can be one of your favorites before you've even seen it (or heard more than three of the songs).

I like Joe's answer best.

And why'd you start this thread...just to make yourself look cool and make fun of others for liking a show?

Honey, you're making fun of yourself by claiming to "like" a show when it hasn't even played one out-of-town preview yet.

You're forgiven. This time. But don't let it happen again!

re: 11 people list Legally Blonde as one of their fave shows

Are people actually trying to DEFEND their ability to "like" a show before they see it? How the world grown that ignorant? PLEASE tell me these are just kids who will learn better!

Here's a story for those 11 people who "like" LEGALLY BLONDE:

A friend's mother LOVES the Disney movie MARY POPPINS. Her home is done up in MARY POPPINS memorabilia and she was featured in Disney magazine. When MARY POPPINS opened in London, the mother went to see it soon after.

When she arrived to the theatre, she purchased every single piece of merchandise offered for sale. Then she saw the show and HATED it! She couldn't believe Disney would change the movie like that! (Yes, how dare Disney 'changes' something ::rolls eyes::. She didn't ever read the original books or care to.)

So she has to fly home with all this MARY POPPINS crap from a show she despised.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I'd hate to have to sit next to her on the plane.

You know there is already clips on YouTube of teenagers lipsinking to "OMG You Guys". I cringed when I saw that (not against lipsinking - that can be fun to watch - but mainly for a show that offically at the moment consists of two songs).

That new video on Broadway.com makes me super excited though.

A jumprope scene!! And the cool choreography at the end...looks so fun.

I've heard the theatre in San Francisco is in a super seedy area though...that's a little scary :-P
