Are people actually trying to DEFEND their ability to "like" a show before they see it? How the world grown that ignorant? PLEASE tell me these are just kids who will learn better!
Here's a story for those 11 people who "like" LEGALLY BLONDE:
A friend's mother LOVES the Disney movie MARY POPPINS. Her home is done up in MARY POPPINS memorabilia and she was featured in Disney magazine. When MARY POPPINS opened in London, the mother went to see it soon after.
When she arrived to the theatre, she purchased every single piece of merchandise offered for sale. Then she saw the show and HATED it! She couldn't believe Disney would change the movie like that! (Yes, how dare Disney 'changes' something ::rolls eyes::. She didn't ever read the original books or care to.)
So she has to fly home with all this MARY POPPINS crap from a show she despised.
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."
