1984 merch?

Hi y'all!

I know 1984 has only had a few previews so far but seeing how I am super excited to see the show in a couple months I was wondering if anyone could offer insight into what merch is available for the show?

Whatever they have I'll likely buy the whole stand out! Ha... Thanks in advance everyone!

1984 merch?

I stopped by a few days ago to pick up my tickets and they had a whole lot of merch out displayed in the lobby. Unfortunately I don't have a complete list, but it looked like some t-shirts, a hoodie, a windowcard, and some smaller stuff. Probably some magnets etc. Hope this helps!

I saw the show Saturday night. I didn't spend much time perusing the wares, but it seems like there were t-shirts, a hoodie, a magnet, a coffee mug, and a few other items. If I recall correctly, everything was either red or black. Incidentally, 1984 was the only show I saw this trip that I did not buy anything from; your response may be different, but when the show ended, shopping for souvenirs seemed to be the last thing on anyone's mind. It's definitely not an experience like, say, Come From Away, where the show ends on a high and people want to remember it.

It's your average type stuff. My son got one of the tee's -- black with orange writing. The designs are really good. (Oh, and my son doesn't want stuff from every show he sees.)

Didn't see this mentioned, but they have a canvas tote bag, as well.

funny you should mention Come From Away as I never saw any of their merchandise, except on the way out there was a tiny display on the bar.....but I couldn't get anywhere near it to look....and it didn't seem anyone else was stopping either.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

It struck me as a poor choice from a sales perspective, but the full merch stand for Come From Away is in the downstairs lobby, where the second bar and the restrooms are. This is also where the world maps with the pushpins are.

If I recall correctly, the merch setup was the same for American Psycho in this theatre (I had to go downstairs to get my t-shirt for that one as well).

Well, certainly missed my opportunity there....and they a sale. Had no idea....and no real way of knowing since there was no intermission.

Thanks for the replies y'all!

Glad to hear there's plenty available and it sounds pretty cool.

Also, when it comes to the show, I know it's not going to leave me in a joyous mood. 1984 is my absolute favorite novel and I even have a whole set of related tattoos planned. I'm just excited to get my hands on any sort of merchandise with 1984 all over it!

Come From Away also has curtains over the entrance to the lounge downstairs.

Like I said, I really don't get it from sales perspective. It's almost as if they don't want anyone to know there's something down there.

Ahhhhh! Looks awesome! I'm guessing the hoodie and shirt are also available in red judging from the one pic I've seen online of a girl wearing one of the former.

I'm not 100% certain, but I believe at least the t-shirt was available in red at the merchandise stand in the Hudson.

There is no good place for merchandise in that theater. For some plays that only have very basic merchandise (poster, T-shirt, and magnet, nothing else), there is sometimes a tiny little booth at the end of the bar, but even that is easy to miss. Plus the bartenders don't love giving up their space. For any show with a more extensive selection, they pretty much have to be downstairs.
