Do any of the discs contain the fabled studio cut?
'Cause you know that one was much better.
Yankee - that cut can be seen by simply skipping chapters when the "Mr. Kite" scene comes up.
Get a life, Brody.
that was rude and uncalled for
can't wait for this, loved it alot when i saw it
I'll be buying it. I loved the movie

Shame they couldn't release it for Xmastime.
I love you (and miss you) Wanna Be A Foster.
I hope you're going to be able to make it to our Christmas party out in the Hamptons Saturday December 22nd.
PM me so I can send you a Save the Date Invitation. Cool?
I cannot wait! I loved this movie!
Yesterday TLA Video had a special pre-order sale for the two-disc DVD for only $19.99! They also have the release date listed as being on February 2.

Yeah, no offense, Brody, but critics were pretty divided about this movie. Entertainment Weekly didn't give it a very good review. I know that.
I didn't write that brief description. By all means...those are NOT my words.
I simply cut & paste the press release snippet directly.
Again...those are NOT my words.

Oh. Ok.
WONDERFUL! I think it got mostly good reviews (actually, I think critics either loved it or hated it). It's # 7 on Roger Ebert's 10 Best List - and it's a BEST PICTURE nominee for the Golden Globes. I LOVED it - loved the music, loved the characters. I've actually never seen anything quite like it. It's very unique. Almost Moulin Rouge -ish.
It is a shame such a visually stunning movie had such a lame poster, and now an even lamer DVD cover. How in the world do some of these marketing people keep their jobs? Or get hired in the first place. I don't get it.
The worst film ever made in 2007. LOVE by Cirque du Soleli was WAY better.

... but that wasn't a MOVIE! Until they make LOVE into a MOVIE how can you even say that?? (Though I want SO bad to see LOVE in Vegas - jealous).

Kyle! It's gorgeous! Unique! Refreshing! Dude, what is it you hate about it? Do tell!
Are three-dimensional characters one of the special features? I might buy it then...
I just think putting the faces of the two lovers inside a heart (I know it was used in the movie), with stars symbolizing the universe is a tacky, trite way to go.
The movie is filled with so many beautiful and striking images, it seems a waste to make the poster and DVD cover so boring and predictable.
All I ever hear about this movie is "visually stunning". Does it have a good, worthwhile story?
I mean it's Taymor, so OF COURSE it's going to be gorgeous, but does the script hold up? The acting?
I haven't seen it and nothing about it has made me want to see it...Even with ERW having Raleigh ties.
It is an enjoyable movie to watch. Is it an amazing film? No. There are problems with the script and the characters, but in my opinion there are just as many problems with the script and characters in the Sweeney Todd film. For someone going into that movie with NO prior knowledge of the story, it is a pretty weak script with characters that lack motivation (Anthony, Judge Turpin, etc.).
I only saw Across the Universe once in the theatre but I am looking forward to seeing it again on DVD. While there are problems in the film, there are also some wonderful moments.
