2005 High School Musicals Across the USA

Just wondering what High Schools are doing for their productions...if you are involved what role are you playing, ect..

Our High School is doing GREASE, not a particular favorite of mine. Hehe.
I have been cast as the TEEN ANGEL. I am also choreographing the show, and possibly be the Student Director.

For anyone reading this...who is familiar with the stage version "Beauty School Dropout"...what key is it in? Is it the range that Billy Porter sang it in the '94 revival, or is it more like Frankie Avalon's (Movie) version? I don't have the OBCR of Grease. And what do you prefer...Avalon's or Porter's? I like Avalon's and it settles well with my voice better than Porter's
You can PM me about the TEEN ANGEL if you wish...thanks!

My school is doing The Secret Garden. We haven't cast yet, but I'm hoping for Mrs.Medlock (i'm not much of a singer).

You have to do the version it comes with, I believe. And besides, it wasn't just a key change between Porter's version and Avalon's. lol

As for my high school, they are doing Man of La Mancha. I'm a freshman in college, and was going to volunteer to be stage manager, but the production began rehearsals last week and its already hell, or so I'm told. So, yeah, no stage managing for me lol (why a HIGH SCHOOL would be doing that, who knows, but whatever. The director's an idiot)

My school is doing Aida. I'm not part of it, but I can't wait to see how my school pulls it off. Our drama department is ok...we have a f*cking stop sign shaped stage. blah!

We're doing PIPPIN. I'm just in chorus, but I made call-backs for the first time ever, so I was happy anyways. I'm really exited, we just started rehersals a week ago.

Am I right in saying that Mrs.Medlock in the Secret Garden does not sing?

re: 2005 High School Musicals Across the USA

You all are doing such great shows! My school is a little over a month away from auditions and we still don't know what musical we are doing...yah, my director is a little unorganized. It kinda sucks because I really want to prepare a piece from the show this year for auditions and get a good part, but I have no clue what it will be.

*Sigh*

Anybody have any suggestions for a good High School musical? (We have a lot of really good female singers [not me, hence the preperation], especially several high sopranos). Thanks!
