OK You guys totally forgot about Dirty Rotten Scoundrals! I'm thinking that they are really gonna clean up this year!
Full Monty was cheated!
Time for redemption!
The only category I will predict right now is featured actress in a musical:
Natascia Diaz, SWEET CHARITY
Maureen McGovern, LITTLE WOMEN
Sara Gettelfinger, DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS
Joanna Gleason, DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS
Ramona Keller, BROOKLYN
I posted about this a few days ago but it slipped past everyone's attention. If it is the same article the thing I found most interesting was the part about Big River. Glad to see it get recognition!
Since it wasn't too early for this thread to start, I suppose it's not too early for me to say:
THERE IS NO APOSTROPHE IN "TONYS."
I hear't you, Musetta.
DOES ANYONE HAVE PREDICTIONS FOR THE 2045 TONYS? I CAN'T WAIT!
why do we put so much stock in award shows, when they're just these political machines that have little to do with was actually the "best," if you can even say so in the arts?

I personally love the performances. Oh yeah, and the fantasy of me winning one someday!
BEST ACTOR in a MUSICAL-Jesse Einstein!

Oh thank you all so much! This has been a dream of mine for so long! First of all I'd like to thank the b'wayworld.com messageboards and......
Feinstein, thank you for bringing a bit of sanity to this discussion.
"Best revival should go to Pacific Overtures, no matter what. La Cage aux Follies doesn't even hold a candle to PO"
Since neither show is in previews yet, what are you basing this opinion on???

It is a little early to be thinking about this. But yeah, I'm looking forward to them too. Considering how well the 2004's went...
"Syncopation is not happening, but the proposition of Neve Campbell winning Best Actress is completely hilarious. I'd put my money on Natasha Richardson in Streetcar Named Desire or Jessica Lange in The Glass Menagerie, with Phylicia Rashad (Gem of the Ocean), Mary-Louise Parker (Reckless), Laura Linney (Sight Unseen) and Edie Falco ('Night Mother) for possible nominations, though the spring could bring any number of surprises."
That is true. However, Blanche is a hard role to get right, so I can't wait to see how Richardson does.
