I know that I posted this before but still wondering if anyone had heard any news on touring shows coming to Richmond VA, Roanoke VA, Norfolk VA, Warner Theater, Kennedy Center, National Theater, Lyric Opera House in Baltimore, and Hippodrome in Baltimore?? Seems like some theaters are already starting to announce their new seasons so thought maybe people had heard about these. I know that National theater in DC is going to be getting Spamalot again and I had heard that Norfolk VA Chrysler Hall would be getting Avenue Q possibly but that is it. Thanks!!

What happened to the days when the country's largest markets were the first stops of tours (LA, Chicago, San Francisco, D.C.) and the smaller markets came into play only years after the other markets were exhausted? i.e., why should Norfolk get Avenue Q before LA or Chicago?
I think that because ciites such as chicago and LA already have open run productions of broadway shows ( Chi has Wicked and Spelling Bee and might get Color Purple LA has wicked) they want to show these productions to other cities that don't get a chance to see broadway theatre.
This is the only reason that makes sense to me.

I think the $1.3M brought in each and every week by Wicked Chicago shows that there is a large audience for Broadway Theater in Chicago. If I were an investor in Q I'd send it there first.
