2007 Tony Awards

I still have the 2007 Tony Awards on my DVR and before I delete it, I thought I'd ask if anyone wanted a copy. I also have the NY1 "On Stage" red carpet special as well as a Tony-related regular episode that can easily be added to the tape. It would be VHS and in order to get all five hours on, it would be extended play.

If interested, PM me.

Ha!!!!!! That's funny!

re: 2007 Tony Awards

I hate to be crude and vulgar, but...

Grease sucks. It really sucks. I know I only saw it in a preview, but it's not gonna get any better. And it ain't winning any Tonys, espeically for Best Revival.

re: 2007 Tony Awards

How did this turn into a thread about next year's Tonys already?:)

This relates to last year's, even if last year was less than two months ago.

Don't blame me. Blame the Grease shill.

re: 2007 Tony Awards

If Grease wins, especially against Sunday in the Park with George or Cabaret, I will cry.

I don't think Cabaret is this season.

I really doubt the Tony voters will be all pro Grease!

If Grease wins over ANY of the other revivals, well...

re: 2007 Tony Awards

GREASE isn't a Tony contender. I think with all the hype the HAIRSPRAY film is garnering, it will sweep the Tony Awards. John Travolta is a definite for Best Actress in a Musical.

How did this turn into a flame GREASE thread? haha

Our freind Little Miss Lynch threadjacked. I believe she's been kicked off the board though, as her posts are nowhere to be found.

re: 2007 Tony Awards

Lizzie, could the sudden surge of GREASE threads be considered the Friday meltdown? Or was it too short?

re: 2007 Tony Awards

Musical Revivals This Season:
Grease
Sunday In The Park With George
Guys & Dolls
South Pacific
Pal Joey
Porgy & Bess

Additional Possibilities:
Cabaret
Gypsy
Follies
The Wiz
West Side Story

GREASE will not get one of the four coveted slots with this many revivals. This production will be completely snubbed.

re: 2007 Tony Awards

Yea, looking at that list again (I had forgotten half, so thank you for posting them Foster,) there is no way Grease will grab a slot, unless all of the other shows completely bomb. Which is doubtful.

Too short and not quite psychotic enough, I think.

re: 2007 Tony Awards

I have to say I graduated with Laura and its kind of funny to see people flame her abilities, not really in this thread but in general........although I always envisioned he doing disney on broadway shows.

The Wiz will be in the '08-'09 season. There will not be an anouncment for a while it should come in about 9 months.

re: 2007 Tony Awards

I thought the Porgy and Bess revival was dead? And how certain in the Pal Joey revival? I thought it was much more of a possibility than it was a certainty.
