The Little Mermaid is touring. It was just announced with Atlanta. I wonder if this is a major equity/ non equity production or just a small regional tour?
I can't imagine the Newsie towers being moved by the cast due to the sheer height and the fact that most of the cast is onstage at certain points (Once and For All).
Re: LA -- I didn't realize the Pippin tour was starting that soon. Very excited to see it on tour. Hopefully they'll be able to find a touring cast (almost) as strong as the NY cast. Finally, something that isn't tired and overdone or total garbage at the Pantages! I've missed sitting in that beautiful theatre. Although I have no desire to see it, I'm surprised that Kinky Boots has a relatively short run in LA, I would have thought it would do VERY well here.
Re: Cinderella -- given that Center Theatre Group was one of the producers, not surprising that it would be playing the Ahmanson and not the Pantages.
Here's the full Atlanta season, for those who are curious:

Still waiting on New Orleans to announce. We're supposed to get Phantom, but I don't know the rest...
Ugh, come on SHN! I wonder what we'll get, we've already had a whole bunch of shows that are already on tour, unless they want to give us a pre broadway preview.
Dirty Dancing... any word of if it's supposed to be any good, or is it another Flashdance?

The Newsies set was indeed built to tour. Newsies was initially planned for a 6 month run. After that, the production was supposed to pack up and tour. Of course, they've since extended, and are now in an open-ended run. I have no doubts that the set they use on tour will be identical.
The Newsies set is three towers with some automation that move via tracks in the deck. Very easy to tour.
I have a feeling BOM will come back to Dallas this year. Anyone know anything about Dallas shows coming through?
Gmerchant, on the Newsies website, it says Dallas is supposed to be getting the show. Nothing about dates yet. Hope this helps!

Million Dollar is def. non-eq. And Camelot, I'd guess, is probably non-eq?
I already know that Newsies and The Lion King are confirmed for Boston but does anybody know anything else? I really hope we get Anything Goes (still haven't seen it) at the colonial and I would like Motown because that was a really fun show even with it's numerous flaws. Anybody know anything?

The Book of Mormon on Broadway,
Motown the Musical,
Dirty Dancing The Musical,
Irving Berlin's White Christmas,

I'm going to speculate that Cinderella will come to the Ahmanson, and most other shows that started tours this year went to the Pantages. Any other options?

Hmmm I am wonder what cities Cinderella will play. So far they have only announced 3. 4 if you count LA.
Crappy lineup for New Orleans.
Tell me about it. Can't say I'm even in the least bit excited. But the powers that be down here seem to have a certain 'formula' that they stick to with their seasons as of late: bring in a kiddy show(Annie), a previous show (Mamma Mia), a movie musical musical (Dirty Dancing), a couple of classics (Chicago, Annie), a recent Tony winner (Once), and a 'big blockbuster' (Phantom). Usually the kiddy show is one of the Disney tours, so I guess that's why I was hoping so hard for Newsies. Disney shows always do well in New Orleans-the upcoming week-long run of Beauty and the Beast is sold out.
