With all the talk about the great lineup of musicals coming to Broadway this season I was just wondering what plays everyone is excited about in the Spring. I've seen a few mentions, specifically The Gin Game and Sylvia but haven't seen anything with as much talk as Curious had last season. Trying to plan at least 1 play for my April trip...
As of right now I believe the only plays announced that will be running in April are THE CRUCIBLE, RTC's LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT and MTC's THE FATHER. I remember hearing a rumor about LCT mounting a production of a Stoppard play in the spring though. All of the shows announced for the fall/winter appear to limited engagements closing no later than early March.

I would get tickets for The Noises Off comedy as soon as sales begin. If this holds any candle to the original Broadway production you will be in for a great treat. I am holding out for the West End reviews for The Father but I would almost see anything with Frank Langella whom they've announced for the Broadway run of at MTC.

Streetcar is opening in late April at St. Ann's Warehouse. So, not on Broadway, but a great venue and a great production.
Gin Game won't be open in the spring.
I'm pumped for Streetcar at St. Ann's, and Mark Rylance's new play there as well.
As said previously, The Crucible, Long Day's Journey, and The Father look like the ones to catch this apring.
frogs_fan, Is it "The Hard Problem" LCT is talking about bringing over?? I'd love for that to transfer.
There are lots of really exciting play revivals this season, but I'm also wondering which NEW play has the most buzz at the moment. I don't really know much about any of the new plays except the casts. Which ones are people here most excited about?

What about the Guy who won the Pulitzer this year? Don't have time to look up his name? Between Riverside and Crazy.... Shouldn't that be on Broadway somewhere? Aren't the Pulitzer Prize winning plays the best of the best?

Just grabbed a tix for the first sat matinee of Streetcar. Seems like tix are selling fairly quickly for this limited run and for $59 I couldn't turn it down.
