Thank you! And while they are great choices, my debate is I have money for a show ticket left over for now and I'm debating whether to spend it on Amelie or Anastasia. The rest I'll try rush or lottery, but those two I'm willing to bite the bullet for front row orchestra or mezzanine.

At this point, I'd suggest leaning a little more towards Anastasia. We shall see if the creative team of Amelie will be able to workout all the problems by the team it gets to Broadway.

I just booked my trip in May. This has the potential to be a Great Season. Here are the new shows on my list: (I will try to do alphabetical order)
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Had good reviews in London, but nothing spectacular)
Groundhog Day (Had rave reviews in London. No reason to suggest it wont do the same on Broadway)
Hello Dolly
Miss Saigon (Saw it in London last year. Phenomenal. Wouldn't expect anything less on Broadway)
My wait and see list:
Amelie (seems like a disappointment from the reviews in LA. Maybe it will improve on Broadway)
Anastasia (Seems like it could be the surprise of the season, but with all of the drama behind the scenes, this could be hit as well as a disaster)
Sunset Blvd. (Missed the 1994 production. Could be great with Glenn Close)
War Paint (Patti Lupone and Christine Ebersole. Need I say more, although I read mixed reviews from average to phenomenal)

That's true @Jeffrey. After I saw the footage clip recently, I'm a bit more intrigued by it. If anything I would see it for Pippa. However I saw a full bootleg of Anastasia in Hartford and loved it, plus they already sent me a discount code.

I also have a May trip booked with tickets purchase for The Great Comet, War Paint, Hello Dolly, and Sweeney Todd so far. That leaves me one spot left, so I'm playing the wait and see game as there are too many options!

I haven't heard anything about "Amelie" other than what I've read on this board. However, I have my doubts that it will work if it closely follows the movie. While I enjoyed the movie, and thought it was sweet, I didn't like the gimmick of the narrator, and I thought the reason that she stopped and then started aging again to be lame. I just don't think there was enough "there" there to support a musical. Hopefully, I'll turn out to be wrong.

Dave13, the 1994 Broadway production of sunset was also the original Broadway production, no?

Correct. Typo on my part. I knew it was based off of the 1950 Billy Wilder movie, so may have confused myself.

My May trip is basically all booked.
Wed- Groundhog Day & 6 degrees of separation
Thursday- Dear Evan Hansen
Friday-Sweeney Todd
Saturday- Come From away & A Dolls house Part 2
Sunday- Great Comet & The Play that goes wrong (only Sunday evening performance, but it does look funny)
As mentioned everything is finalized and tickets have been purchased. No buyers remorse at all, but would have liked to see Bandstand. (that was my final cut) and lately Miss Saigon. I don't know much about Miss Saigon, but so many people are looking forward to it, I would have liked to check it out. But can't possibly squeeze in any more....

Most excited for GROUNDHOG DAY after the rave reviews that came from its run in London. Also excited to see Miss Saigon, Charlie, and Anastasia!

I have five slots left in my Playbill Binder. I plan to fill them with War Paint, Anastasia, Miss Saigon, Sunday in the Park with George, and one other TBD. And all these shows are subject to change depending on my budget...etc....

Is there just a plain old list of all the new shows opening this season somewhere? I need something for the roommate to research, so I know what I can just book on short notice and see without him... ![]()

While normally I would, my worry is what seats will be avaliable by the time the previews start. I looked at Anastasia and it seems like they've sold a decent number of their orchestra seats. While Amelie hasn't sold out much yet, people might rush to it if they don't already know that Pippa is in it, depending on how strong her fan base is.

I think most of her fans are well aware she's returning to Broadway, so I wouldn't be too concerned about that being the cause of a rush.

I'm booked to see Great Comet in Jan, so excited about that. And seriously considering coming back to see Come From Away, it's supposed to be stunning.
(Also it certainly won't be on broadway but I've been keeping an eye on Popstar the musical, the clip Sydney Harcourt posted sounded great and I love him as an actor)
