I'm not very excited about this Broadway season but there's some great revivals! And definitely make sure to visit off Broadway shows! You never know what the next big thing will be."
I am so not excited for this season either. But I will keeping my eyes on Frozen to see if experiencing the beautiful story of sisterhood again in a whole new way is worth the wait."
I feel the same exact way. First off, I NEVER expected Mean Girls to be a musical. But with Tina Fey working on the book, I'm giving it a chance. Spongebob was a childhood favorite for me so I'm also giving that one a chance (I'm not a huge fan of the cast recording though). As for Frozen, I'm kind of disappointed they didn't put in the opening number from the movie, but all the other songs are still in there so I will also give that one a chance.
And I know it's early, but here are my early Best Musical and Best Revival predictions:
BEST MUSICAL - Spongebob Squarepants, Mean Girls, Frozen, The Band's Visit (Escape to Margaritaville, if there's a fifth)
BEST REVIVAL OF A MUSICAL - Once on this Island, My Fair Lady, Carousel
