For those who caught the Tony Awards: Act One on Paramount+ leading up to last year's main telecast on CBS (and loved it), Pluto TV will be presenting it this year. Only this time, it'll be a half hour longer, which will probably include more special awards that they weren't able to include in last year's hour-long pre-show. Hosts and further details will be announced in the coming weeks. https://www.broadwayworld.com/article/2023-Tony-Awards-Live-Pre-Show-Will-Stream-for-Free-on-Pluto-TV-20230425

At the rate they're going -- in a couple more years you'll need to switch to a different streaming service for every award they give out!

They changed it to PlutoTV, because a lot of people last year complained about having to pay to watch the Tonys on Paramount Plus. PlutoTV is free, so this is the compromise.
Major difference from Paramount + is that Pluto TV is free. Every smart TV has the app installed and the app is free for mobile devices.
It would be great if the show themselves was simulcast on Pluto also, but it's great the pre-show will be streaming free.
