Broadway came back 3 years ago today when "Moulin Rouge" reopened on September 24, 2021. When tickets went on sale in May, I grabbed a front row Mezz seat. That performance was just incredible. The love, the energy. It was like a rock concert, with each number stopping the show. One of my most amazing theatre memories in my many, many decades of going to the theatre.

Glad you had a nice time at Moulin Rouge, but why on earth is it being singled out here as the show that brought Broadway back? It was the eleventh show to open or reopen following the pandemic:

Waitress and Hadestown were the first ones to re-open during the first week of September.

Thx!
Looking up the reopening info gave me such a rush of anxiety...nuts to look back and remember that time, even 3 years later.
ErmengardeStopSniveling, you are correct. MR was one of the many shows that reopened around that time - thank goodness. I mentioned MR since it was the 3 year anniversary, and was so thrilled to have been able to have been there - in the room when it happened. Would I have liked to have been at all the reopenings? Absolutely!
That would have racked up a lot of frequent flyer miles going back and forth from Los Angeles. :)
