Out of all the musicals and musical movies ever, Jennifer Love Hewitt in A CHRISTMAS CAROL was one of the top 5 supporting performances by a female of all-time?

I think Jonathan Larson should be included in "Composers"
A Christmas Carol? What the ****?

I do not believe John Larson is in the same league as the other composers. Thats why I did not include him in the nominations. Please post your votes for the rest of the catagories since John Larson is not amongst them
Wait, am I delusional?
Didn't Alan Menken compose A CHRISTMAS CAROL?

Good catch. You are right that he did compose the musical. However, I am refering to the film in which he was not affiliated with so the credit will go to Micheal Ockrant
yes, Priest.....he did. And why Starlight Express? I would have chosen Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, or Phantom over that.

Those are ONLY the ones that were the choices. I would have picked completly different things for each category.
Well, mine actually would have been about the same if they were different, except:
Best Supporting Actress would have gone to Elaine Stritch for COMPANY
and
Best Song would have gone to 'A Little Priest' and 'Not While I'm Around'
God, Priest. You are so predictable. LOL

also, didn't Kelly O'Malley play the Baker's Wife in the Into the Woods Revival? Wouldn't that make her eligible for Best Actress, not Supporting? But she doesn't compare to the Divine Joanna Gleeson!
What?
At least its COMPANY, And not SWEENEY.
Me, predictable? nah.

geez.
mohonfdu, you need to see more musicals. "A Christmas Carol?" Puh-leese.
Now everyone has the right to different opinions...but "A Christmas Carol" beating Sweeney Todd, and Starlight Express beating anything somewhat surprise me.
I have to second The Distinctive Baritone...

I have seen every single show I nominated whether live or on video tape and I stand by my decision. I love all the musicals I nominated but one stands out above the rest and that my friends is Christmas Carol the Musical. The music, the performance and plot make it the perfect musical. If I didnt know any better I would have said it was written by Sondheim since I am a huge fan of his as well. I predict as the holiday season goes on the movie will be a huge hit as it is shown in rebroadcasts. I have a good feeling that it will even win some emmys. Jason Alexander in particular deserves the emmy for best supporting actor in a TV movie. Enough said. But thats only my opinion
Well I can't say that I have seen it, so I can't really comment. And you ARE entitled to your opinion...
I really never expected to see someone posting that Jennifer Love Hewitt deserves an award citing her performance as the best in a century of musical theatre. That leaves me...somewhat...speechless.
