This week there's a couple of changes to the cast. Nothing major but Tommy Berklund will now be playing Greg(also u/s Zach) as Micheal Gruber leaves the show. Also joining the show are Kimberly Dawn Neumann(swing, u/s Cassie, Sheila) who's already been with the show for 3 weeks; Kurt Domoney(swing, u/s Mike, Al, Zach, Don); & Jenifer Foote(Vicki; u/s Judy, Sheila, Val). Emily Fletcher left the show to start rehearsals as Sheila in the national tour. It's believed Todd Anderson also left the show to be in the natonal tour.
And as everyone knows, starting April 15, Mario Lopez joins the cast as Zach.
Also, starting June 2, A Chorus Line will now play Mondays @ 8pm and no longer have Sundays matinees @ 3pm.

Thanks, ACL2006. I love Monday night shows.
I looked up Tommy Berklund, and he's like 20 years younger than Michael Gruber.
I still haven't seen either Nadine Issenegger or Jessica Lea Patty as Cassie yet. Who do you prefer?

Posted: 3/31/08 at 5:19pmJessica Lea Patty is hands down the best Cassie I've seen. Since you love Mondays, you could see her starting in June.Gruber was 42 while playing Greg(who's supposed to be 32). As long as Berklund can look 30ish, he should be an improvement over Gruber.

Yeah I wasn't impressed with Michael Gruber as Greg. When Michael Beresse was out, Michael Gruber went on as Greg, and there was an understudy for Greg. I don't know his name, but he was really good in the role, much better than Gruber.
I'm gonna try to get a ticket for this Sunday's show.

Was the understudy Grant Turner?
I've seen Jessica Lea Patty and Nadine Issenegger. Jessica was miles better.

Posted: 3/31/08 at 8:58pmNobody's sure yet, shh282. He hasn't started performances yet, so nobody knows how good or bad he'll be in the part. There's a lot of ill will towards his casting, but he could end up being fantastic. He doesn't start until April 15th.

that "Extra TV" host and "Dancing with the Stars" finalist Mario Lopez will make his Broadway debut joining the case of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winning musical A Chorus Line beginning Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 W 45th St). Mr. Lopez will play Zach, the demanding director who is casting the chorus roles for a new Broadway musical, through Sunday, September 7, 2008.

She doesn't cover Cassie any more, but she did at the beginning of the run. As far as I know, she never went on.

I thought you meant that Gruber was leaving in July. sorry.
I think most of the originals will be leaving this summer. It'll have been two years since the San Fran. run started.
And Goldyn only covered Cassie for the first year. And she never went on.
