A Dolls House Part 2 or Play Went Wrong in June#1

Significant Other closed.  : (  And I had a ticket for June, so now I have an open slot.

I'm seeking some advice.  I'm torn between Doll's House Part 2 thanks to the comments on the previews thread and Play That Went Wrong because it will be a chance to see this cast.  Both appeal to me for various and different reasons.  I know Doll's House's box office has been beyond spotty but maybe the Tonys will help?

Any thoughts from you excellent people?  I'm sad that another one of my early June ticket purchases (Indecent) also looks like it's trouble.

Thank you thank you thank you for your thoughts.

I'd opt for THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG on two fronts.

1) It's incredibly funny, stupid, and unpretentious, and I had a great time. It's truly a knock-down, drag-out farce.

2) You honestly probably won't have a choice. From a practical standpoint, I don't see A DOLL'S HOUSE II: Electric Boogaloo making it past Tony noms.

Can't speak to Doll's House, but I've been telling everybody to see The Play That Goes Wrong!

I can't speak to Doll's House Part Two either (it's next on my list though) but I would tell anyone to avoid The Play That Goes Wrong. I love farce, but I was exhausted by it, and not in a good way.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

A Doll's House, Part 2 if it's still running.

A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.

A Doll's House Part 2 - no contest. One of the best nights I've had in the theater in recent memory.

Loved A Doll's House, Part 2- walked out of The Play that Goes Wrong in London

Saw both recently...Doll's House DEFINITELY! Play that goes wrong was just too stupid, predictable and obnoxious at times. Funny, yes, sometimes. But Dolls House kept my interest throughout and has some amazing performances and moments in it.

I would recommend just about anything on Broadway now over The Play That Goes Wrong. Unlike many others, I found the play to be dreadful and not funny.

Going Back to Part 2 tomorrow night because I liked it so much the first time. Would go back to the other even with a comp. Which is sad because I love everything that show is, but it didn't land at all with me.

Is Dolls House funny?

People can advise you as to what "they" liked all day long. In the end these 2 productions are very different and at the opposite ends of the spectrum as far as content goes. Both have their audiences for sure and people that loved the shows. In the end because they are SO different I think its a matter of your personal taste. Total slapstick done very well with little to no storyline, or something very deep and thoughtful.....

Baby2...Would you care to elaborate about walking out of that show?

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

A DOLL'S HOUSE PART 2. Fresh, hysterical, intelligent, and unbelievable acting. Its 90 minutes were so exciting that it felt more like 45.
