Hi everyone! I'm going to New York this June for vacation and I would love to see A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder. I've been checking the TKTS app every day or so for a while and A Gentleman's Guide seems to be consistently on the board for around 50% off. Do you think it will still be on the board on a Thursday in late June when there are more tourists in the city or should I go ahead and buy my tickets online?
There is no sure thing regarding availability until after the Tonys. Then you will know.
I would buy it in advance only if you want to sit in the orchestra and don't want to get an aerial view of the stage from the mezzanine or feel that you are riding the drop of doom from the balcony.

Though I will add that the large majority of the tickets I've gotten from the TKTS booth have been in the orchestra (I honestly can't remember the last time I got a mezzanine or balcony ticket from purchasing there). That is just my experience though, and if you are picky about your seats it is indeed better to buy online where you can have some choice in the matter.

I got 14th row, center orchestra hour before curtain for $35 at the box office.

Was that the under 35 rush? The OP may be older.

I asked for the balcony. The box office attendant just said "nah here is this."
So try maybe!! Never know

That's great. The same thing happened to me last year with Motown. Instead of a standing room, he gave me an orchestra seat for same price.

Personally, if I were visiting from out of town in late June (which is after the Tonys) and there was a show I really really wanted to see, I would buy tickets in advance. Maybe there is a discount code.
It's been running since last October and has been on TKTS consistently week after week almost always at 50%. Even if it wins a Tony or two, and with all the other hot new musicals opening now with huge buzz, that's probably the best it can hope for, it's unlikely to become an impossible ticket. If it were me, I'd wait. I don't think you will have a problem getting it on TKTS especially during the week. But again as someone else said, we can't predict with certainty what will happen so no one knows for sure.
