I believe Catherine Zeta Jones was on vacation this week:
A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC (WALTER KERR) made $485,701 this week and it made $917,526 the week before. Wow!!! CZJ really draws people to the box office.

Posted: 2/23/10 at 10:51amBECAUSE they discounted the tickets. Guess whose decision that was... THE PRODUCERS!!! It went exactly the way they planned. They would rather have the butts in the seats for word of mouth. If they hadn't discounted the tickets, they would have made less money because fewer people would have come.

I don't know where you heard that, but Catherine is not making anywhere near $480,000 a week. She's making significantly more than your average Broadway star salary, but not that much.
These are experienced producers. They wouldn't agree to something so high that it makes the show impossible to recoup. It's not SPIDER-MAN.
