Wow, this is what I find after a long day of wrapping and baking. Someone's been guzzling the hatorade.
This brings to mind a conversation I recently had. If something's not your cup of tea then it's not your cup of tea. That's all well and good. It doesn't mean that the creator of the piece you dislike or those who do like it are somehow "less" than you or have "bad taste". If everyone in the world liked the same thing then it would be a pretty boring place. We all have different tastes and interests. I'm sure there are things that those who dislike Tale enjoy that I don't like at all. Does that give me carte blanche to put it down at every opportunity? Not at all. It takes more time and effort to obsess over not liking something than it does to simply move on.

Well said, Eris. Also for madscientist, the end credits of the PBS telecast listed Samuel French as owning the rights and it would seem that they are available now according to the website. It doesn't mention anything about the show being unavailable as with other new acquisitions and titles that are listed as being currently restricted.

Careful, Eris, you run the risk of sounding like a reasonable human being.
Too bad about "Round and Round." The concept album is the only one I ever plan to own, for reasons I won't bore you all with again, but I always think that's one of the best songs in the score, and it's a shame it didn't make it onto the new CD.

Wow...I also have not been on this board for a few days and...=I I want to thank Jill for her posts explaining the situation. Sorry if we offended your efforts to put out the very best you are able, and as fast as possible with such limited help. At least, MY sincere apologies
And TheEnchantedHunter (I love that name, but now I think it is sadly wasted here, after seeing the nature of the owner), I find it quite fresh of you (and honestly, demeaning to you) to address Ms. Santoriello in that manner. Her music, inspite of your opinion of it, is quite moving and so very appropriate for the show's interpretation. She has managed to reach quite a diverse audience in a very positive way, which I am more than sure would be augmented had this show remained on Broadway longer, or would tour.
Thanks again, Jill. And, I am glad to see that those who appreciate her music came through on this thread :)

Just got my book last night! And you were right CATS, it is the same book with the production and concert photographs :)
I always loved the graphics, and it is quite stunning to see it huge on the cover!
And I love how they wrote little inserts with the actual show dialogue happening when some of the songs were sung in the show. I am more than happy with the format and presentation...only one thing (come on, are we ever totally satisfied?
): I wish the concert photos would have been in color
But, I am sure it was a budget thing, and that is fine. I still LOVE it!
Thanks, Jill! And only 4 days after Christmas...not bad! I know you tried to do your best, and that is more than sufficient for any Tale fan. At least, it is for me
Did anybody else get theirs...?

Posted: 1/7/10 at 6:43amHas anyone received their CD yet? Six weeks from the original air date is coming up. Will we be waiting another four weeks to fit within the six to ten weeks mentioned previously?
