Performances for the musical "A Walk on the Moon" began earlier this week. Has anyone seen it yet? Any thoughts based on the early previews?

Hmmmm. Nobody? It has been in previews now for a week and a half. I guess there’s not much interest in it.

Copy and pasting my review from Reddit:
Walk on the Moon was alright. The first act feels rushed which undermines the main character’s motivations, but Talia and Max are so good that they had me invested again in the second act. Max in particular probably needs more to do in act 1 to establish his character better. I described the plot as Temu Bridges of Madison County to my friend and that’s basically what you can expect.
Music is serviceable if samey.
Their use of projections and screens were actually done in a creative way that I really enjoyed. They pull off some nice visuals that justify the usage of the tech (my eyes loved the psychedelic number in act 2 in particular).
All in all, at least it’s better than Joy!

Didn't love this one.
It's generic film to musical. A nice song or two. The cast is working hard.
It's cliche with poor lyrics and a basic story. The "jokes"/references will land more with the older Jewish community.
It's well sung by the game cast. Standard length for a 2 act musical but feels long. As the songs came I wanted to fast forward getting plot completed as you know where it is going. Set in 1969 during the landing on the moon - its metaphors and expected US context is what you expect.

Am I correct that this is not a Roundabout production and they are just renting the theater?
