I just saw a this play -- Together we are making a poem in honor of life -- with a friend who had an extra ticket. I hadn't heard of it, but I'm glad I went.. it was beautiful and moving piece. An incredibly powerful experience!
The play takes place in a elementary school on the LES. It is about a couple after their son was killed in a school tragedy, and at the end everyone sat there in shock. The two actors were both broadway understudies and delivered incredible performances.
Check it out, www.inhonoroflifetheplay.com It's the best thing I've seen in months
"A friend with an extra ticket." Yeah right.

no reason to be rude. I thought the production was worth sharing and telling more people about.

According to the website it involves grief counseling and is staged in a school cafeteria. That sounds cool to me.

Also, are there vending machines in the caf?

Posting it on both the Broadway Board AND the Off Topic Board is a classic "tell" for a shill. Just so you know for future reference.

Just write that you're involved in the show in some way and you want people to know about it if they haven't heard about it.
No harm, no foul.
But thank you for not saying people loved the show so much when you saw it that they went right to the box office after the curtain call to buy tix for future shows because that's just snopes stuff.

I saw the show on Saturday night. It was very moving and emotional. I thought the two actors, Allison Layman in particular, did a fantastic job and portrayed a variety of emotions, sometimes switching very quickly. The immersive style took a little while to get used to, but added to the overall production quite nicely. Definitely worth it to trek all the way downtown to see.
The cafeteria was quite cold (though thank goodness it has air conditioning), I suggest bringing a sweater.
They really "portrayed a variety of emotions?" I've never heard of actors doing that before.
Precisely in what were you immersed, by the way?
Wow, this is the "shilliest" thread in a while! Like being in A/C too long!
Oh, Galinda, another shill. Joined JUST in time to tell us she grabbed a ticket. How convenient.
Two, two, two shills in one!

The actors and the audience all sit in a big circle of chairs together.
Oh, god, I would hate that.

You'll never know if you don't go!
So the new definition for "immersive" is "sharing space with the actors?"
How cutting edge!
Not the kind of circle I would prefer to be in with a group of strangers. :)
""Oh, god, I would hate that. "

Yes, I do. I would hate every minute of that. It wasn't a question, it was something to ponder. It was a statement of fact.
Just like: you are a shill.
