I've been travelling out of state and returned home on Friday night, but I was lucky enough to get some excellent tickets (Row D) for the final performance. It seemed that everyone around us has seen the show at least three times, including Bradley Bowers and his family who I thought was Dylan at first glance. They DO look alike! Needless to say, it was a hugely receptive house and the performances were the best I've seen yet. Many of the frequent flyers around us agreed that some had started out a little weak at the beginning, and the transformation has been amazing. All agreed that this is one of the hardest working ensembles on Broadway and I hope to see every name in anotehr Playbill by the end of the year.
The stage door afterward was a madhouse but, like the troopers they are, everyone came out and faced the crowd. Merle was taking pictures of the crowd which had to be over two hundred people. Jenn was leaving for her honeymoon at 5:30 this morning, but stayed until she had signed for everyone. Tim and Donnie were their usual personable selves and all three little guys signed and charmed the little girls as usual. Rob Evan remembered me from his first show, which was nice, we'd had a brief chat that night, and Josh sounds like he already has some projects in the works. Chester is working on his second CD, his first is awesome by the way (shameless plug!).
So, so long Tarzan, I'll miss you. I don't know where I'm going to go hide after a lousy day at work any more!

yeah but isn't that a line from the show?? I thought they all had some funny lines from the show on the back of their shirts.

Perhaps, I don't recall anyone ever saying "HE SWUNG FROM THE TREES NAKED" or I'd have paid more attention!

yes it is. Jenn says it in the beginning of Act 2. "He swung through the trees... Naked!! Well execpt for a loincloth."

I know Team Tarzan...they are nice people. the cast knows them and they support the cast at the baseball games which is why they have the shirts. they were upset. there is nothing wrong with that...they are very cool when you talk to them

I know them they are not annoying actually...the cast asked them to come and wear the shirts...and the shirts are funny...i think people just dont understand that they were asked to do it

Jane says that line...so you should have paid attention
Bwaystar1987-
Both times I saw the show, I was in the last row of the ochrestra, I could barely see, so if something was said like that, I probably might have missed it. My apologizes.
Team Tarzan annoyed me [and a few others on here and at the theater]. They just rubbed me the wrong way. They probably are nice kids, great kids, probably. But, they just rubbed me the wrong way on a very hot day.
It was a great night and the cast was so intense in every moment of the performance. The audience was so into it and I am so grateful I got to be there. Very emotional for everyone! But I am so happy I got to witness this =)

I didnt write it in a mean way...and they were emotional because they are very close to the cast and know what they went through and are still going through because of this sudden close. it was an emotional night...you are entitled to your opinions...

bway star,
just to be devil's advocate... if/when i friends in a show who are leaving or the show is closing, yes, i admit I cry during the show if they start too.. but never outside.. they are my friends. It is sad, yes, but I will still talk to and hang out with my friends.
Everyone handles there emotions different. With speaking to them...most of them were up for almost a few days making sure they were in line to get tickets to the shows. I'm sure running on no sleep had something to do with is. Everyone's entitled to their opinions.

I was with them for some of it...they stopped when the cast came out...they werent sitting together so when they met up at the stage door they cried...big deal!!! When the cast came out the stopped and talked to them...i wasnt aware that this was a board for bashing people...i mean if everyone here had enough time to use their energy to take pictures of them and bad mouth them then they are pretty pathetic...i am not saying that to you or anyone specific because unlike the people on this message board i dont spend time bad mouthing people i dont know on a message board...the show is done they were upset leave it alone
broadwayguy2- very interesting point.
bwaystar1987- sadly this message board does bash people. its just how it goes and this time it was directed toward "Team Tarzan"
clumsydude15- babe when we seeing Xandu? hahaha

I know...it isnt that fact that they are being bashed...it is that there are pictures being put up...there is no permission to use them and the people who did it had no right to...

Ok, back on topic for a sec, I saw the show for the first time yesterday afternoon in section A on the left side (Thanks Scott!) I thought it was amazing. It was more than I thought and I really enjoyed it. The cast was so sweet at the stage door, stopping to give autographs and pictures. I wish all of them the best in the future. It is only a matter of time before every cast member is back on Broadway.

bwaystar,
They clearly posed FOR the pics. Obviously, the agreed.. just never asked why they were being taken. According to your logic, no one should be allowed to take or publish any pictures of any person who puts themselves out there, whether it be Britney flashing her girl parts, Paris showing the entrence to the Hilton, or a Broadway Star as astage door.....
Thats not a fair analogy at all darling, your other examples are all people in the public eye. They posed for pictures sure, and even if the picture was taken because the photographer thought it was sad (which is their business) the kids didnt approve their use on the internet, and for all any of you know they could be underage and thats just not safe. As annoying as anyone might find them, I dont think a public bashing with photographs is necessary. Theyre just enthusiastic fans. We were out there all day the past two days with them and in our own home made tshirts, we could just as easily be the topic for other peoples amusement.
hey jess20882, your PM still isn't working. I'm definately interested in the pics.

and they only posed because they were asked...there were a lot of pictures taken before hand which they didnt want being taken!!!
