Friday night started it all off with a trip to the Marquis for The Drowsy Chaperone. Brilliant as always, this show shines. Bob Martin delivers a stellar performance. Sutton shines vocally and as character. Beth is perfect! Troy, Eddie, Lenny, The Kravits's, and the rest of the boys were terriffic! Danny Burnstein is hilarious! Georgia and Eddie do a spectacular job. I was so pleased. I laughed and cheered all night! There was not a dull moment in the show! And, don't forget the incredible Kecia, who delivers a lovely "I do, I do in the sky!" Stagedooring was a blast! I met everyone minus Georgia, Sutton, and Beth who decided not to show up. 5 stars! Amazing! Brilliant! Superb! Go see it now if you haven't yet!
I wish today was just as exciting and amazing as Drowsy...Unfortunately, with many apologies to friends and fellow users who LOVE it, The Wedding Singer ranks in my book as the worst musical of the season. Not only are the music and story terrible, low brow, and unintelligent, the cast is not desirable at all. Laura Benanti is dull and sings moderately well. Mind you, I have seen her in Nine, which she was also terrible in, and Into the woods, which she was great in! She bored me, and my family. Stephen is a great actor. He plays the part well and has a nice voice, but nothing much other than that. Although Amy has a great voice, she just didn't do it, and she was flat A LOT today. The strongest actor with the best voice was Felicia Finley, who unfortunately only appears twice in the show. The rest of the cast is undesirable, performing in a below top notch show. I went in totally open-minded, but I just thought it was terrible. I haven't seen something so bad in a while. But, the audience loved it and it was a full house, so good for the cast! A lot of cheers happened throughout the show. I did not stage door, because I was so unimpressed and had no one I was anxious to meet. One star.
Had a very fun weekend, but The Wedding Singer is not for me. Pictures from Drowsy will be up soon! Hope you are all enjoying your weekends!

...What happened next, was stranger still, a woman breathless and afraid, appeared out of the night, completely dressed in white. She had a secret she would tell, of one who had mistreated her. Her face and frightened gaze, my mind cannot erase...But then she ran from view. She looked so much like you...
