Yes, non-Equity tours would most likely be unaffected, unless IATSE refuses to cross a picket line at the local venues in solidarity.

If you have tickets for an April 13th tour show how worried should you be, especially when hotel reservations have already been made for after the show? To get their hotel refunded they need to cancel by tomorrow afternoon.

The last email from Kate Shindle was April 4th, and it did say there were still two more bargaining dates on the calendar which would need to take place before the strike could be initiated. While she didn’t specify the dates, I can’t imagine they’ve both taken place yet. I would be willing to bet that this week is most likely safe (though that’s obviously not a guarantee).

I recall reading that the scheduled dates for further negotiation were April 11 and April 12, which is why I put April 13 in the thread title. However, I understand that the strike has been authorized and could, theoretically, happen any day when AEA call for it - including befroe April 13.

So far I have read nothing about a strike actually being called so hopefully the talks have been fruitful for the actors. I am assuming tonight's shows are still on so we are heading into town soon and still plan to stay overnight to make travel safer. If anyone has heard anything different can you please let me know.

A tentative agreement was reached this morning. An email to membership is going out now (just received mine a few minutes ago). Granted things could still fall apart in the next steps (review by the National Council, ratification vote, etc), but for now it’s moving forward with no strike.
On a similar note, Julia Murney recently posted on Instagram the following message:
“Dear @actorsequity members…the turn out to vote for the new LORT contract was abysmal as ever.
Eligible voters: 8,577
# who voted: 1,705
I’m not here about which way you voted- I’m here about how many of you complain & then don’t participate. If you did, good on ya. If you didn’t, do better.
There is a lot of dysfunction in AEA but there are also people clawing and losing sleep (in a non paid volunteer position) to try to help you.
Help them help you.”
