Should I buy it? I am a big fan of Sherie Rene Scott. I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on the Broadway Cast recording.

i love this recording... i think all three of them perform the score really well and i really enjoy elton john's music that he wrote for this show... this is one of the most frequent plays of all my shows... i bought my brother the concept album as a present too... it's good, but the obcr is definitely the best!

What show won the Tony the year Aida came out? It wasn't nominated, correct? I'm not saying that to downgrade it, it's pure curiousity. In fact, I never saw it, never thought about it, and heard the recording recently. Kind of regretting that I didn't see it now!

I think Contact won the Tony award that year (2000). Wasn't a big fan of Contact...

It's one of the worst shows I've ever seen. This is the litmus test- if you like "Scarlet Pimpernel" or "Jekyl and Hyde", you'd like Aida. Otherwise, save yourself the money.

All three leads are powerhouses. I was lucky to see the original cast. Superb. The recording really captures the energy and passion of the live show.

I'd definitly say yes. An absolutely amazing cast and wonderful score and lyrics. It was the first time I'd ever heard Sherie Rene Scott and I fell in love with her on the first listen. It's an absolutely amazing cast recording.

I wanted to get something that an "ex"-junkie like him would really appreciate and cherish....it's a brick of heroin shaped like a heart. -Scrubs

I didn't have much time before, but the cast is an absolute powerhouse. Every one of them. And the CD preserved the best thing about the show; its score.

One of my favorite things in the world to do is to turn the bass up on these really hardcore speakers I have in my house, turn off all the lights, and blast the CD when there's nobody else around. That music used to make the theatre shake. It was incredible.
